There's ogres terrorizing the valley! Help us and we'll give you some treasure!" It's more interesting, but also simple. And it's still good for beginners. So, in answer to your question…yes.
  2. tKel: I think Avernum is from the lowest pits of hell…even though I enjoy playing it. A lot less than the Ex series. ^Pointless words. I have to agree with Milu: perfect, except for the bugs.

I enjoyed it from begining to end, a worthy scenario to any BoE player! Did you understand what was going on, then? If you did, please explain it to me. Please. Don't get me wrong, the combat was very fun. But I barely could grasp the "finishing" ending, let alone the "winning" ending with someone who is my enemy but also Katothen being the same as someone who killed a guy talking about a guy spouting bilbical references, who then summoned something to kill me that didn't actually exist. I was then told about this by a person that also doesn't exist, who is looking for "The Evidence" and is an enemy of Karl Gottfried, who said he was going to explain everything but just mumbled vaguely and ended the scenario.(/rant) Basically, the whole Echoes plotline runs like this: TM hates everybody, he tries to personify everybody in his scenarios (even though we don't see it), so that he can kill everybody. And then he goes on an acid trip, and wakes up to find that his scenario has been injected with a lot of philisophical babble that shouldn't even be in scenarios. EDIT: Oh, and if you're after something uber-simple, try The Foolish Giant . Guaranteed to be one of ten easiest scenarios you'll ever play, ranked up there with Nine Variations on Point B, etc.
  4. Cuz, you know, being sressy is a bad thing. Hey everybody, it's one of the few times I've seen "your postliness" as his title, yay.
  5. The townspeoples start pelting them with rocks? Wow, that's…sexy.
  6. Dang, all that getting my hopes up with a title like that, just for a question…
  7. This is not chrono trigger discussion. That is wrong. Anyway, let it be known that, in my mediocrity, I'm thinking about doing a CT scenario, adapted and fixed for a BoE-possible storyline.
  8. Not hard when I have a walkthrough, a party that's gone through it once, and…okay no I don't have the time. Oh, I suppose I MIGHT have the time, because the emulator I use has a rewind function that I've never used…never ever. And I've looked at a spoiler for all the different endings…I know, I'm lame. Yay. EDIT: I was kinda hoping some of the newer members were familiar enough with their heritage to contribute to this conversation. Shows what I get for having high expectations for youth .

    I was being sarcasmic.
  10. I never got very far into AtG. Or any of *i's scenarios for that matter. I know they're good, I just can't bring myself to do it. AtG was…I don't remember. I got past the first or second ogre mission I think, but I may have gotten lost after that, with respect to plot or no plot. Dag. Same deal with Spears. I just recently got into Chrono Trigger. Spent so much time beating it in the last couple of days. I feel so empty now, because I've beat it twice and it doesn't feel like there's any more to do. (Cept maybe the New Game+ option.)
  11. Discuss, and possibly a scen roughly (though not copyright infringing) based on it. And for those who don't know: You are.

Oh…yeah…I TOTALLY went to the fifth lvl mages guild…really!

I don't recall teleporters…hrm. Anyway, she can be found by some simple, patient recon to the left (that's west, except on my screen, in which case it is south) in a cave with slimes.
  14. EDIT: On second thought, it's more of the same problem in BoA. Go see the BoA forum. And of course, nobody updates the scenario tables. But that's nothing new.
  15. Sorry Kel, my internet here is gay; it won't let me look at a "games" related site. I suppose I can use somewhat-nefarious methods to view it, though. =D
  16. tKel: What I meant to say was: Is it as notorious as BoE?
  17. Just because I've been out of the loop: does BoA need updating?

Make sure you have the sapphire necklace before leaving the wine cellar/ exiting the town with the editor. It helps you gain entrance to the thieves' guild. BTW, on the subject, I don't recall where to find what's-his-face's sword for the guild quest, any help?
  19. Oh crap, I totally forgot. Possibly because of my long absence. Well, my second scenario is far from being anything, and my last one (the Foolish Giant) is too bedtime-storylike to be edited sufficiently (and I don't know how legal that is, rule-wise), and it looks like I may be dropping out.
  20. Quote: Originally written by Jewels: TM probably meant .png the first time he said .bmp. Yeah, I was about to mention something about a slight misuse of the word "esoteric", but that fixes it… ("Esoteric" is one of my pet words, that's why I noticed.)
  21. I would be an NPC, definately. Though the ability of Simulacrum to summon a monster just as powerful as you would pose a difficulty. (Assuming we're maxing out both NPC's and PC's). NPC's outpower PC's by far, especially because of their special abilities.
  22. Go kill stuff and get money. Don't tell me you've got nothing but archers… (NEW BoE CHALLENGE!!!) EDIT: Iron arrows suck too, really. Archery sucks in the world of Exile. That's like the one decent feature of *cough*Avernum*cough*.
  23. I wonder, would anyone have a problem with someone (no, not me! *shifty eyes* I dunno what you're talking about!) making a scenario based off Fable? That'd be awhile down the road.
  24. Do it. It's your scenario and you have that more than just that reason to do it. (Say, technology hasn't advanced to plate-mail?) I think that's a great idea.
