  1. Its the full body image- I've modded the other games graphics for years (and have uploaded some of those custom chars before)but have never been actually able to FIND the 'full body" inventory pictures- all the others, be they the small face portraits, or sprites is well known to me. But in A1, unlike the others, its those inventory pictures that I cant seem to find/access. So its that I need help with- everything else is well within my capabilities, but thank you for trying to help
  2. I'm in windows, to note I can see all the other pieces of art just fine- but I cant see the actual portraits at all. And given that, its awfully hard to change 'em, and annoying to be able to modify the in game graphics, as well as the 'selection portrait' (for lack of a better term) picture. If any one could tell me how to do this, I'd be much obliged!
  3. I've already created several custum PC graphics for BOA, and I assure you, should I get this scenario completed, the BOA community will have a nice assortment of new goodies. Though i still need to find some nice jungle terrain... Anyway, my question is how to actually get this stuff in the game; putting the graphic files into the scenario folder (obviously) isnt going to actually get them into the editors placement options, let alone the scenario itself.
  4. Hi all, I've finally worked up a unique little idea for a scenario, and I'd like to know how to use the scenario editor, the retooled 3D version. 1)How do I add in new terrain? Will new terrian show up in the editor for me to utilize (I have luz's tropical beach graphics, amoungst a few others in mind)-and speaking of which, dose anyone know of some nice palm trees, and other jungle terrain I can utilize? 2)In the same vein, how do I load in custum monster graphics. How do i create new monsters at all, for that matter?
  5. well, my big question for you woudl be do you mind using "my style" of Goblins, as opposed to the basic games?
  6. in theory, I could have soem new ones done in a few days for you; if you have a specific "vision" for anything, i can see how it works out if you give me a description @Mab; no need to be rude about it; I'm not a very activee member of the community 'round here, and I really dont know the score when it comes to how much demand thiere is for new graphics
  7. cool I think, for the time being, until I have enough to justify a website, I'll just use this thread to put up everything I do.
  8. any particuler format they need to be in? I'm a windows user myself, but got addicted to the games on my Moms mac, back in the day; one thing I noticed on the mac is that editing the files is rather counter intuitive; I could never access them, of course, I'm no skill at a computer, so many itwas a simple process- on windows, its great, great, GREAT deal easyier to get to all the graphics, and replace them at ones leisure for any of the exile games. all this means, is that is thier needs to be soem sort of particuler format for the pictures, I should know now
  9. about the trolls; in my mind, trolls are essentially just *really big* goblins, which why I jumped when I saw the troll L.P had made at, I belive the knights of ni site, and went about using it as a base; my early trys to keep it in the size of the standard graphic didnt really work; as it was, the origional troll by L.P was hunched over, and I think it limited the potential of the awesomeness of it; the only alternative, obviouslly, was to make the Trolls larger, and make them a 2x2 monster, which is what I decided was best; I figured since Trolls would probably be a large, boss type monster, that 2x2 would be fittign for it anyway. anyway, I've worked on a few others; a style of Dervish worked to be a PC graphic. (or at least, I replaced PC artwork with it)Like the proper Dervshes posted above, is influenced by the Romans and the same with the other, which is inspired by the Mongols, and used the old Goblin warrior as a base. The worked up some quick Goblins, as I;ve never really be satified with the ones in the game as soon as I get a fair "collection" made, I might see about making a website; never done it before mind you, but you never know.
  10. Because making BOE graphics is a grea deal easier then making avernum graphics. for a while, I've been making some; primarilly by throwing around peices of other peoples works, but soem stuff by my own hand. I wanted to know if anyone really wanted/needed any new graphics in the BOE format of a fair quality for anything. here are some samples of what I've done (mostlly incomplete right now); the first is a new style Dervish that i use, as well as "Dervish Captain" that can be used (they fit into a dream scenario that woudl be incredible if made, but I have no skills at making a scenario, and so could only help soemone else make it) the others are a few trolls i threw together using the one by Luz Piazuelo as a base.
  11. My one big hope is that it has an outdoors; that was the worst thing about geneforce, thier was no actual outdoors to it; the reason I got addicted to the exile when I was little (I guess mabey 10, or 12 years ago, when i was 6,7, or 8), and eventually thier avernum remakes was the feeling of exploration out in the country side, discovering, adventuring; geneforge ultimatelly spoils that, by making everything in thes elittle self contained segments of a map, which feel, and play through like a dungeon in the exile, or avernum games, and not a true walkabout in the country side. for such a gameplay factor, i woudl eagerlly trade in a new game engine; besides, its unlikelly I'll be able to make myself a customized charicter art work in a new game engine, and while modding dosent seem to have ever been a big part of the game, and so its not much to consider, it is still perhaps somthing.
  12. I own it and quite enjoy it; though having soem very heavy knowledge in Roman history, the end was rather anti-climatic for me (considering the Roman empire continued to significantlly expand into new territories, ho,d them, and Romanize them well through the next century and a half) Othwise I enjoyed it, and would love to see a new game along those lines come out; perhaps set in Heroic age Greece or Italy. (I'd also enjoy seeing such a gamemade with the Nethergate-AV1- BOA game engine, but we have yet to see whats in store with AV4)
  13. Quote: Originally written by Wise Man is quite the: If this was Civilization, the Empire would crumble from excessive corruption. And then they would revolt to communism pish; only if you dotn have the forsight to keep your empire in eithe rmonarchy, and or republic, and make sure nto to igrnor your general infastructure, and make sure to try and have a temple in every city, and wise place for your forbidden palace (global empires are my thing in that game )
