Fledgling Fyora golingarf
I tried the legacy version at bladesofexile.com, without much luck. I would like to try the open source project, but is it in playable condition?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
It has has few flaws depending on the version and your operating system that you are using, Mostly problems with the graphics and some with the cursor. Its best to try downloading and playing it.
Fledgling Fyora golingarf
Hmm, it's a shame there seems to be no good version of the exile games. I may try it anyway, or failing that, go to a virtual win95 with Almighty Doer of Stuff's version.
Garrulous Glaahk osnola
Hi, I finished a lot of scenarios with the version I modified; the graphics need to be rejuvenated, but otherwise I find the game stable and playable (maybe because I got used to the remaining defects). After that I would advise to recompile a version from my sources or to integrate some of my commits, because I corrected several problems ( some very annoying )... Garrulous Glaahk Nephil Thief
FYI a Windows XP VM works great for the legacy version IME, as does Wine if you're using Linux or MacOS. If you're on Windows and don't want to buy WinXP on eBay (or download it from archive.org), a Linux VM with Wine may work just as well, though that's a rather convoluted setup to run a 4 MB game. Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
As far as I know, WINE no longer works on the latest Macs though, since it relies on the ability to natively run the game's code, and new Macs can only run 64-bit code (or something like that). That said, the legacy Mac version works just fine in Basilisk ][ as long as you can find an old Classic MacOS ROM somewhere, and there's also the option of a WinXP VM.
