Rotghroth Rhapsody txmimi
I'm doing a first-time playthrough on casual to get a feel for the game's mechanics, etc. I've read that I can add party members from the other countries and get different skills. . . So am I able to add someone from the Ukatish? If so, I need a few more details on how to make that happen. Thanks!
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
When you build a fort in a vassal land, inside any fort you can recruit a party member that will have 3 cultural skills for that land. Use the party member icon at the bottom of the screen on the left by the shop placement to go to the screen for adding/removing party members and to shift party order. You can only have up to 4 in a party at a time. Be sure to train the new recruit so you don't have can't equip item problems over not enough combat or arcane levels. Transfer all equipment from the character you want to replace to other party members or a container so you don't have to buy new equipment. Ineffable Wingbolt mikeprichard
Sorry if this is answered elsewhere, but do all recruits always immediately scale to the current XP of your Prince(ss)?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Yes, all characters stay at exactly the same level (experience points) unlike Avadon where they leveled up at different times. It makes it easier when training to do it all at once.
Ineffable Wingbolt mikeprichard
Nice, that's what I was hoping to hear. This also doesn't "punish" you (especially in a game where total XP rewards are strictly finite) if you want to switch characters mid-game, which given the unique racial traits only available with later recruits, I'm sure was exactly Jeff's plan. Cheers. Celtic Minstrel
Rotghroth Rhapsody txmimi
So I just walk up to any random person and when I do this party member icon will appear? I have looked for such an icon without finding it, but I'll try to pay better attention.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
To recruit a new party member you need to click the party edit icon in the bottom line of icons. It's the third one from the left edge showing 4 different colored bottle like images and to the right of the building placement icon (down arrow). Rotghroth Rhapsody txmimi
Got it, thanks! Edited September 15, 2019 by txmimi
Chittering Clawbug Simulated Knave
The coloured bottle-like images are pawns. It's rather thematically appropriate. txmimi
