Problem

I have downloaded and extracted the .exe and the picture files for Lamentations, and placed them in the correct folder (BladeScen).This procedure has worked with every other scenario, yet the scenario does not appear in the Custom Scenarios list. Could someone please help me out here?

 

edit: I have also noticed that Falling Stars doesn't work either. I would have thought that it may be a problem with the Alcritas files, but An Apology worked just fine.

Hmm. Where are you downloading them from? And have you made sure there are fewer than 20 scenarios in your scenario folder?

You're welcome. It's a pretty annoying limitation, really; I try to avoid it by only keeping scenarios I'm actively playing at the time in my scenarios folder, and putting other scenarios in another folder for storage.

Maybe it will be possible (sometime) to create another scenario folder.

Then you can choose between them and you got never such problems!

If BoE hasn't been updated in the past 5 years, it's a safe bet that it's not going to be updated now.

The worst part is that judging by the number of posts in the BoA forums that are replied to with "Update your version of BoA already", Jeff's fears were well-founded. >_<

The latest version is indicated in the forum header of the BoA forum.

 

As to whether it could use another update, check out the bugs page and list of undocumented bugs , and judge for yourself.

Right. You create a folder in the scenario folder and only put the few scenarios you're currently playing in there at once.

I'm not sure how you did that. When i was in high school (last year) i tried putting Firefox on a usb flash drive to see if I could get past the filters. Unfortunately, the only way I could get it to connect was to set it to use the same proxy as Internet Explorer, thus enabling the filter for Firefox as well. i still used Firefox though. It's a far superior browser.

The school filters for game sites are horrible, I wasn´t even able to get at the Doomguards Realm or Motrax´ site!

 

Netscape and Firefox are the best two browsers and I use them both!
