Chittering Clawbug Glassk
I start Exile 2 (my first Exile) and have problem with unidentified things. I haven't spell, skill Item id 4 points don't work. What I doing wrong?
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
You usually have to visit a sage to identify items in the Exile series. Item Lore is an expensive skill and not really a great investment, plus it only has a chance of working. You can eventually find a handy "Identify" spell, but not for a while. I don't remember where sages are in the beginning of Exile 2, but there is almost certainly one in Formello, and there is probably one in Fort Draco as well. Sages will generally tell you they can identify items when you ask about their job. Be warned, you will have to pay a small fee for the service -- just part of life in Exile. Chittering Clawbug Glassk
Yes, in Formello - 15 coins for each crappy stone knife. So, in Exile you should sell only expensive things? But how can I know, which one? Damn, again save/load button massage.
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
Anyway - thanks! )
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
And again - is there more detailed faq\walkthrough than? http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/575518-exile-ii-crystal-souls/faqs/10220
Tenderfoot Thahd Beluga56
Yep, the save/load strategy is the best. Save game, identify items and note which ones are valued over 30 (so they can be sold back for profit... or kept), load and discard all the crappy stuff without identifying it. You'll be at 25000 gold in no time!
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Later in the game you will have safe areas like in Silvar and the Castle where you can store items and they will stay there. Just pile up things until you are higher level and can ID them.
Understated Ur-Drakon Celtic Minstrel
I thought there was one of those in the beginning too? Probably the starting fort?
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
I have seen somewhere info about it - there is 3 safe area. Can't find it, it doesn't off. walktrough.
Ineffable Wingbolt Erebus the Black
Maybe the sage died at the nephil attack?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Exile 2 has a spot in the Vahnatai Lands as the 3rd one.
Tenderfoot Thahd Beluga56
Yep, items can be stored in the southwest building in Olgai. Great town, as it also has a sage who you can sell your items to.
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
Thanks! For now I'm in part\chapt 1.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Exile 2 does not have storage in the beginning since you cannot go back to the Formello area until later in the game, and you can never go back to Black Waters. Chittering Clawbug Glassk
What effect small obelisk does, in Nephilim Castle, if you bow down before it?
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
Oh! It's drain exp! Nice trick
Rotghroth Rhapsody Thaluikhain
Some items are almost never going to be worth IDing. If you are fighting goblins and one drops a knife when you kill it, it's not too likely to be a magic knife. I remember in Exile 3, the cost of IDing iron bars was the same as their resale value. Silver bars, though, were worth a lot more, and though they had the same graphic, their weight was a bit less, IIRC, so I knew they were worth picking up. Chittering Clawbug Glassk
Is there item list from Exile? Or Avernum if items are identical. ??? Want to know what is Drakeskin boots, or boots of Protection.
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
I just found, that one of my char have 3 Str and 0 (zero) Dex. And I remember, that I set 4 Str and there was 1 Dex. Also remember, that one of my char drink Potion of Doom accidentally. Is there a link between?
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
Dahris-Bok's tomb. In the right upper corner, there is place behind chasm. Does anyone know what is there any items?
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
There is some loot there, but I don't remember what. By the time you reach the end of the Dark River you will have found more loot than you can carry. Save and reload to figure out the cursed items so you can leave them behind. Chittering Clawbug Glassk
OK. But how to go there? I just "create new PC", name "Carrier". )) He has all traits. ) After tomb, but before Hydra Lair, there is "Secret Chasm", in outdoor map. There is chasm, and "ground w. special". I can't have Flight or Orb at that time, so WTF???????
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
Most of your questions will be answered by an Avernum 2 FAQ. The geography is nearly identical, and the quests and items you need are nearly identical. The mechanics are different, but if you only consult it as a walkthrough it should help. Since you seem to have a large number of questions you should probably do that.
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
Thanks! I'll try it.
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
There is no in Avernum 2 these things. Different maps. So, question is still relevant.
Chittering Clawbug Glassk
So, Secret Chasm was a supply cash for Vahnatai. Question about tomb still relevant.
