A:EftP - Magical barriers

My opininion is that there are too many barriers which require lvl 3 Dispel Barrier-spell at somewhat beginning (just finished Crypt of Drath and made mistake on exiting that place) and so far I've encountered ~half a dozen barriers which require lvl 3 spell to be vanished and I'm still far away for getting that spell.

Yeah, I kind of agree. I refused to revisit all those spots after I finally gotten the third spell level too. I guess it's a bonus for your second play-through, when you have a good idea on just how early you can get that spell up to lvl 3.

Most of the level 3 dispel barriers are wisdom crystals and wands of the inferno. The best one is in Gremlin's Gold for +1 to luck.

 

Edit - I went back to level 3 of Drath's Crypt to see what was behind that one. Jeff's got a sick sense of humor.

there's 2 at 1 of those Slith temples (prolly southern temple) and there's some book/tome and Drake's lair at remote lands has 2 barriers and of course Drath's crypt has and Tower of Magi might have too and some dungeons. I have probably forgotten some by now.

 

Haven't figured how to get to Kloth's place yet (since its somewhere near Erika's tower apparently).

 

Found house infested by spiders (Araneas etc) at remote lands which gave dispel barrier for every1 who didn't know it (fighters) but didn't give 3rd level to casters so totally pointless point.
