Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
That closed portcullis at southeast corner of Avadon has bugged me a while cause as far as I know there's no way to get it opened or is there without "ghostwalking"? Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
Southeast? You mean the one on the north side of Nicodemus's workshop? You'll get to the other side of that later.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
southeast near where main char gets to castle, there's trap visible.
Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
Southwest. That's a storeroom. Keep bugging the quartermaster for supplies; he'll open it for you eventually. Miranda has it opened if you turn in the papers from the Titan's Keep.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The southwest portcullis gets opened later in the game. Miranda mentions opening all the remaining storerooms so the southwest and the far east room past Nicodemus get opened.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
Oh those papers which I burned.
Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
Ah. Well, I guess you're out of luck, then. There's a couple of named weapons in there, but probably nothing better than what you already have equipped.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
Yea read it at Synergy's list. Knowing for who Miranda really works makes that quest (and few others) bit odd afterwards.
Curious Artila Aeden
Damn.. I burned the papers as well :+ Guess that will be something to take a look at some other playthrough..
Kyshakk Koan Mod.
What about the closed porticullis at the bottom of the dungeons, just outside the keeper burial chamber entrance? I always wondered if shadow tarkus was behind there and I would get rid of him in a later hand Callan quest before I realized where tarkus really was. Never did find out what was behind there. Spent a good deal of time looking for switches too, even in the upper dungeon levels.
Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
Nothing is there at all. I believe it was placed there to provide a plausible second way into the crypt for Redbeard. Obviously, he couldn't have gone down the way you did.
Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
Service information :-) There's also a secret switch close to Redbeard main hall, that leads to a small gate. Before someone ask about it: you will never open it. It's there to show a small part of the place where the game will end. I guess it's a in game practical hint and you better remember this place exists 'cause it will make you save vital turns if you choose to fight Redbeard.
