Easygoing Eyebeast keira
Okay, I really need to get a better computer. Mine is starting to get awfully close to Jeff's recommended system requirements.
Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
Looks like we still have Chainmail Bikini Woman. Do we still have the male counterpart? Also, youpi for Phil Foglio.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
I played A3 with P2-266 MHz computer (it had some S3 graphic adapter I think) and A1-5 with P3-500 MHz (Radeon 7000) so ...... 10-20 years from now Jeff might rewrite Exile again. He's in his mid-40's, right?
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
yea he might be but opposite is probable too.

I would be surprised if we didn't also have the male version, since Jeff seems to be sticking pretty close to the spirit of the original portraits. I notice that some of the sprites are new, too, which is really nice.
Understated Ur-Drakon Callie
Oooh we get a discount for having purchased the original trilogy. Edit: Am I the only one who thinks that map is an eyesore?
Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
Something else interesting: those screenshots make it look like the game will use A4-6 style movement, rather than Geneforge/Avadon movement with walking animations. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Jeff's said there will be walking animations but also an option to turn them off for faster movement.
Ineffable Wingbolt Necris Omega
I think the new "global" map is nice myself, but the texture the artist used for the cave walls is a bit overdeveloped, and makes a lot of the tunnels of far northern Avernum easy to lose in the chaos. Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
Well, Spiderweb _is_ a family business. It wouldn't be out of the question for the kids to start working for it at some point.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
...between Cordelia's character portrait in the default Avernum party and Miranda's fate as revealed in G5, that is going to lead to some awkward conversations. Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
I think Miranda's role in Avadon would be a bit more awkward.
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
No, Dikiyoba thinks that'll be hilarious, especially since Redbeard looks a little like Jeff.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I remember talking to Jeff about Miranda's fate in GF5, can't find the email, but he wasn't worried.
Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
Redbeard looks more than a little like Jeff. Cordelia I understand, but why would killing off Miranda be more awkward than having her backstab and kill him?
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
Mostly because of the implied romance between her and Alwan. It was an undignified ending to a cool character. Plus, the real Miranda is going to be a teenager eventually, so the Avadon backstabbing will be appropriate then. Dikiyoba.

Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
You didn't include the comment in E/A3 about what a strange name Miranda is for a baby.

Maybe running Spiderweb Software is like being a Sith Lord and she will have to defeat Jeff in a duel before she runs the company. Makes a lot more sense then . Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
Honestly, if the kids are fine with The Poo Bomb, I don't think the game would be a problem.

Are you sure that's in X3? It's not in my dump of either game, although apparently both E/A2 and A3 have characters named Miranda. EDIT: Aha, that's because it is about Cordelia, not Miranda. A3 only. In E3 the baby's name is Edward AND you can't complain about the name.
