Articulate Vlish Mestalidd
I paid the beggar in Dharmon for the location of the secret tunnel and the way across the river, and for the life of me i was never able to actualy find whatever it was in the trash pits. Could is maybe be that I already cleared the entire place before even looking at the stairs down into the main city?
Garrulous Glaahk Tarson
The trash pits are outside of dharmon at the north end of the of the city just a dozen steps down from the blosk ruins.
Articulate Vlish Mestalidd
Yes. I was there, then after the quest I went back and moused over every wall and every item. Nothing.
Garrulous Glaahk Tarson
Its not a secret passage just a brown trapdoor on the left side of the trash pit.
Articulate Vlish Mestalidd
The one that leads to a dead end one way and the skribbane addicts you slaughter the other? Was there too didnt seem to see anything...I guess I'm just stupid?
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
... you know you can actually talk to the dealer instead of just killing everyone, right?
Garrulous Glaahk Tarson
And get a decent amount of money by selling skribbane. Im not a fan of the drug I would rather buy spells or skills but the money for selling could be worth keeping the dealer alive as long as you don't take the quest to kill him. Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
But if you don't kill them, they might give you a quest in which the reward is a rare long lost artifact. Decisions, decisions. Dikiyoba prefers to talk first and kill them once they have no further use.
Articulate Vlish Mestalidd
So it turns out I am just retarded. The place in the trash pit >-IS-< THE WAY ACROSS THE LAKE. I was looking for something more... well, less obivous from something I had to pay for. This topic is now pointless to post in.
Understated Ur-Drakon Earth
atm you can do drug dealing as long as you want since no cap on money and exp earned on that, no idea how much exp you get per sale.
Ineffable Wingbolt Erebus the Black
from my experience you can check the scripts for that (just don't change them if you don't know what you are doing). maybe start by doing a search on the directory where the scripts are for the name of the dealer. Money cap is 30k. I know becuase I hit it. Then again, unless you are a serious case of a packrat like me, who gets 30k? (I pick up every item with a value and sell it for 5 coins I am THAT bad.) Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
The drug dealer will pay you for every batch of skribbane you bring him, though. Earth Empires is wrong about the experience, though. Unless you have an early Mac version of the game, you can only get a limited amount of experience from selling skribbane. Dikiyoba. No, in all Windows versions, there's a limit on the experience earned by trading in skribbane. In early Mac versions, it's unlimited. Articulate Vlish Mestalidd
Seeing how much skribbane you can get, thats like a more time consuming character editor......hense why it was fixed.
Garrulous Glaahk So Much Killing
Originally Posted By: Mestalidd Seeing how much skribbane you can get, thats like a more time consuming character editor......hense why it was fixed. As I understand it the players with a less rigid game playing ethic reasoned that since they could trade gold for skribbane and trade skribbane for skill points, that it would be more efficient to simply use the character editor to add skill points based on how much gold they had. It isn't a much bigger leap to then reason that one could run around collecting every little item that isn't nailed down and selling it for gold, but it would be more efficient to simply assume you have a lot of gold. I believe a related kind of logic led to the financial meltdown of 2008.
