Garrulous Glaahk Sporefrog
I felt like not knowing who anyone was added a greater sense of mystery and thrill to the game, much like my first few games. Did you guys like it? I horribly failed at guessing everyone's identity. I didn't guess a single one correctly. 12 for, 5 against.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
"You must vote before you can view the results of this poll" is a bad option to select when you only want votes from a minority of people reading the topic -- in this case, the people who actually played the game. Garrulous Glaahk Sporefrog
Good call, can I undo it? I could just edit the post with the running tally if not
Well-Actually War Trall Andraste
It's kind of like waiting and waiting and waiting for just one more player even though there's someone sitting right there who could play...
Magnificent Ornk Swimmin' Salmon
Option 3 - I didn't play, but want to see the results of the poll.
Garrulous Glaahk Sporefrog
I'll keep a running tally unless some mod can change it or something. I can't seem to.
Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
Best option: after a week, post the results. That way, everyone has a chance to vote without being influenced by the results, and the non-players can still see the results. Everyone wins! Well, except the impatient people. Easygoing Eyebeast keira
I liked the idea, but in practice it was a pain having to constantly switch between accounts if I wanted to post in a topic out of Misc.
Unflappable Drayk Marlenny
I loved it. It added an extra layer to the game. And it certainly felt like it was how the game was intended to be. With that said, I figured out who Sarachim was within 6 hours of the start of the game (and we were already allies ). And by the end I was confident that Thuryl was Surefire. But other than that, everyone managed to fool me
Easygoing Eyebeast *i
I'm pretty sure the verdict here is to keep it optional but encourage it. If anything it helps the newer players most if lots of people do it, because it forces people to actually talk to them and give them a chance. For a while now, there was too much preference toward the experienced players.

Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Remember that game where Sarachim was Vahkohs and he told Marlenny about it because she'd previously told him she'd help him win if he was ever Vahkohs? Yeeeeeah.
Garrulous Glaahk Sporefrog
Remember that game where Marlenny and I agreed to back down instead of backstabbing each other, and she backstabbed me? Oh wait, that was four different games.
Hatchling Cockatrice Mea Tulpa
How about a meta-game where instead of having roles like Gladwell and Vahkohs you have roles like Marlenny and Thuryl? Obviously, the playing field and powers would have to be adjusted too.

Or there could be a self-backstabbing game of Northern Isles in which everyone uses the same anonymous account...
Rotghroth Rhapsody RCCCL
I enjoyed the Anonymity, though, by day three I was positive I was working with either Sarachim or Marlenny, just from the playing style. Turned out I was working with both, Sarachim directly, and Marlenny indirectly.
