  1. If somehow guns became obsolete, I'd join the army/military and brandish my sword for many battles. It would be awesome. I'd even do it for no pay, and would pay 1 dollar to the American Military for every slain warrior. Plus I could keep in shape.

I'd be right behind you, albeit without paying the military. I need my money more than they do. :p

  2. I prefer magic to be an intuitive energy that some (or all) people can naturally use, rather than a fantasy science that only scholars who study for 20 years can use.

Some Japanese swordmasters can cut an arrow in half in flight. Granted, this is a single arrow, with plenty of time to prepare, but if people are capable of that then dodging an arrow should be very doable, as long as the swordsman isn't weighed down by heavy armor.

  3.

Well, none of these are musts, just suggestions. I wonder if Avernum 7 might be called "Into the Light" and be an adventure above ground in the Empire and below ground in Avernum?

    Like Avernum 3? Already happened.

I read that and thought it applied to A6. Oh well, my bad. I just stopped into old Fort Avernum, oh the memories. I just asked to borrow a cup of mushroom meal and they about bit my head off. Some people have no sense of humor.

Might I borrow a cup of meal?

  4. How well a wizard handles modern tech is completely dependant on the caliber of wizard. The sort that can throw fireballs & lightning and make small magic barriers would be royally screwed. :p

The mountain-leveling, time-stopping, reality-warping kind, however, would wipe the floor with any military on earth, assuming the floor still existed when they were through.

  5.

It´s just a coincidence Eschalon and Avernum uses the "Grey alien" image as an important factor in game?.

What gray alien? If there were aliens in Avadon they mindwiped me after I saw them... Although, that might explain some things.

  6. Yeah. What Lilith said. I cheated my skill points to over 9000 using CE and I raised all of them into 30. When I shaped my first fyora, it was in level 19 and could do 73+ damage. It's not worth it. If you want to have a creature upgrade then you must get 3 points of Create -insert creature name here-. Having one point of it gives you the ability to shape the creature. Having two points of it, I don't know what it does, but makes your creature probably a little stronger. Having three points of it gives you an upgraded form of the creature.

Also, stick to your creations. They become stronger and gain XP. Don't absorb them when unneeded, make full use of them while you still can.

    They're over 9000! . . . and yet under 31. 0_o

  7. I wonder when will I become a mod.

I wonder when will I have a custom title.

I wonder when are colors inverted.

I wonder who is the best.

I wonder who is real or fake.

    I wonder...

    :confused::crazy:

I wonder what you're high on.

  8. If I recall shapers are practically the strongest in geneforge 1. And they can create way more than just a few. And shaping is much, much more powerful in geneforge 1 than ANY other geneforge in the series. Mainly because its system is unique than the others. When you raise your shaping skill monsters level up but their attributes are the same # as their level + what you added. yourself. For example, you create a thahd at level 8. It'll have all its attributes at 8 + whatever you added upon creation. In the other geneforges the attributes are half of their level. So you are very much rewarded for focusing in one shaping circle and are practically beast with a shaper. With 5-7 creations you ultimately do more damage in 1 round than any other class. AND its magic is decent.

Shapers have strong creations in G1, but their personal survivability is very low, plus they have low strength, so you'll have to constantly head back to town to empty your pack.
