If games, especially RPG's were to easy, then it'd be too boring. SW games, in my opinion are awesome because there's always more than one option.

I seem to remember being able to change the music for Exile 1 and 2 to whatever I wanted it to.

The Marathon series from Bungie has been released as open source, and there are editors and so on available for the series. Although Marathon isn't quite RPG, I thought I'd throw it in. It could be worth looking in to.

I'm perfectly fine most of the time, until my liver starts to winge.

One thing I like about Sci-Fi is that it can be quite original. Sure there is usually a few common elements like spaceships and hyperspace, but in general good Sci-Fi's usually have a whole universe created from scratch. Even to the point where there's a distinct alien species with a distinct language that occaisonaly becomes somewhat a cult status, like Klingon or Goa'uld

I don't want anything for Christmas. Every day I work hard, so that if there is something I wish to physically obtain I can do so, and if there is something metaphysical that I wish to obtain I have a better chance of doing so as well.

I'm the same. I actually got asked what I wanted for Christmas, and the person asking doesn't believe me when I say nothing.

The novelty of Christmas has worn off for me years ago. Although this year I would hope to still have a job to go to after the Christmas holidays.

Do garter snakes count as sea serpents? They tend to be aquatic, they're cool, they're serpentine, and the common garter snake can eat the super-poisonous rough-skinned newt (plus the pufferfish, should the two species ever cross paths).

 

All sea snakes fall before the Kraken.

 

"Release the garter snake" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Inland taipans would have to be one of my favourites.

I can cook quite reasonably well actually. I'd be more happy being entertained by having a job at the moment though.

Power Pete, Realmz, Exile 1+2, Odyssey (Legend of Nemesis), Darkwood 1+2, Wolfenstein, some shooters, Marathon 1+2+Infinity.

I remember those games! well most of them any ways. It's quite nice that Marathon went open source and I think Odyssey is now freeware.

I came across Exile 1 and 2 on old MacFormats. Original graphics and background music to suit!

One could possibly say that they have been not reading the posts in this thread.
