    Sorry but the probability of that happening seems to be low, from what I understand the sales just don't cover up the costs and the hassle, there might be some hope through humble bundle though but not much else.

  2. If I make only Vlishes they will enjoy the advantage I already pointed out because you don't really hit 12 or so by the second island even with a shaper and the agents would be at a skill of 2-3 in magic shaping by then, maybe 4.

     

    The higher level creations lack this advantage to some degree but keep in mind that a shaper can make 6-7 of them, an agent can't.

     

    About spellcraft I will like to point out that a shaper only needs decent mental magic and blessing magic enough to haste his creations, healing craft is cheap and has lots of points available in game so spellcraft is not a very important skill for him, Spellcraft is really a super skill for the agents, it matters little for the other classes as they don't use the whole variety of magic types.

     

    (Also for your mix and match strategy it's preferable to have good no. of points in both battle and magic shaping, an agent can't have that.)

     

    Edit :- Oh, and when you pointed out about why shaping skills should be increased and I sorta disagreed, It was because I was speaking about G4 and G5, the difference between them and G3 is that G4 and 5 don't have any low level creature good enough to keep throughout the game, G3 has Vlishes, and as you yourself said a +4 to attack means little for high level creatures, it's better to just have more of them and keep them healed and blessed.

  3. There is no real justification to be a Shaper. Agents can shape almost as well as a Shaper, but also allow you to gain a significant amount of mental magic.

    What advantages does a Shaper have that an Agent doesn't?

    There is no real justification to be a Agent. Shapers can do magic almost as well as a Agent, but also allow you to gain significantly better creations without stretching their essence and energy.

    (You yourself said that primarily you are concerned with daze, A shaper can easily put about 10 points in mental magic without stretching his skill points because that's his average skill, an agent aiming to match a shaper in shaping will be stretched out of skill points because shaping is her weak skill, Neither class really needs physical combat skills)

    What that means is that a shaper's creations would be about +8 in level compared to an Agent, which means 4 extra damage die multiplied seven times and an extra 20% or so to hit, rough analysis would put equivalent damage to (assuming 1-5 dice and 20 % extra chance) about 110 points normally and ~ 230 points for a hasted blessed party not to mention the comparatively powerful ancillary effects and extra health meaning less turns wasted on healing(and the minor extra dodging chance).

  4. If you don't think your life is at risk, why are you risking theirs?

    I can see a lot of situations here, hypothetically, what should I do if someone with an Iron Rod is coming towards me but has some distance to cover, do I shoot him in the center or do I go for limbs? or what If someone is running away from my home after stealing something valuable but is in the range?

    If you do, why aren't you doing everything you can to save yourself?

    Never said anything about the situation, if he is trying to kill you,you try to kill him. period.

    Once bullets fly death is on the table. Not always, but you are making death a likely consequence. Trying to pretend otherwise is ridiculous.

    Of course it is, and of course you can miss limbs, my point is that there are situations where scaring someone can work, It's always preferable to killing someone if he isn't going for the kill and you can scare someone with a small gun.

  5. All firearms are extremely dangerous tools. Self-defense with firearms does mean killing.

    I don't agree, while I have never shot personally lots of my uncles/close relatives have, you can almost certainly aim on the legs and even if you miss and whoever you fired at doesn't have a gun he should be scared enough to run away, Self defense with firearms should mean killing only if otherwise it means death/heavy damage for you and I am not talking about the trigger happy folks. obviously I wasn't talking about close range, close range is something of a chance situation in any case, either way if you are fighting at close range then the guy is certainly going to kill/heavily injure you and In that case well....

    So basically I'm saying that small guns have a utility in non-Mortal situation, assault thingies don't and if someone kills someone in a mortal situation that's not really a crime.

    There isn't any contradiction, it's fairly easy to aim small guns on a non-fatal part of anyone who is troubling you at the moment, that's not possible with assault thingies, Yes the pistols can kill but they certainly can't be used for the type of incidents that brought up the original gun control thread, All in all the utility value of small guns exceed their damage potential, with the assault rifles there utility to a normal person is zero with limitless scope for disaster.

    From what I've seen the marker is never really accurate, it's more of a rough indicator of where you are then the exact coordinates.

  8. No, you see, you just need to make the skeletons more manageable: issue a mandate that requires all necromancers and wizards to create their skeletons with osteoporosis.

    The United Society of Evil Wizards is going to oppose that mandate to death, let's see how you deal with our powerful lobby.

  10. Having said that, I have no idea if there are in-game caps on stats or what happens if you exceed them. Game-breaking bugs are possible if people take things to extremes. You might want to include a warning about that.

    Yep, I once made level 500 Cryoas in G2, there energy became negative and the game hung whenever I entered the combat mode, So everybody try not to be too extreme.

  11. Are you contending that bringing in some gun control regulation won't result in successive attempts to bring in even more gun control regulation?

    Theoretically it shouldn't go to the absurd levels of toy guns, hell, even practically it shouldn't , if it actually does go to those levels, that's a problem with the lawmakers not the laws.

    To change the spell you can change the values in ab_damage_type, and ab_status_effect, I don't really know the values but you can just search for the spell which has the ability you need and check it's value, all I remember is acid(status) is 6 and lightning is 20(from this spell :) ).

Yep, go to the tower of magi and get some good spells, if you stole those dragon skin gloves in formello you can also get the dread curse removed, You should be able to do parts of spiral, I'm not sure how well a singleton will handle the sliths right now,with my two player party I had a lot of problems and often survived only due to the huge dexterity of my archer, but still you can try them.
