I will say i am disappointed, but yeah i see your point.
Anyway thanks all.

No, actually I think you (or maybe I) missed a point there,
This phenomenon can be applied to PC's as well as that of enemies, this will ensure that the fights remain even.
The only change i guess is that the HP's will need to be reduced a bit for both PC's and foes (otherwise the fight's may get too long), That shouldn't be too hard??(I am no programmer).

I have a suggestion about the combat mechanism which can possibly make the game a bit closer to real life. The point is that till now in all SW games the damage done by PC's is the same irrespective of how injured they are. Think of it, can someone who has just had his a** blasted by arcane blow wield the sword with the same power as someone who is fresh and raring to go?? This thing deserves a change, even if just for novelty value.

Such switches are common, they are there to freak you out ,,it's not a bug. -

Maybe, but you needn't buy them, levelling up does very little in A 4-6.Once you get level 1 there is no need to further pursue the spells. -
Well i completed the first two chapters in A2 and was about halfway through the third chapter before my mouse decided that it wasn't gonna cooperate any longer, now i have a mouse that doubleclicks whether you want to do a single , double or triple click.

Are you sure that intelligence is not a factor at all.

Armor doesn't decrease the chance to hit with spells, but at some level it will not allow your mage to cast them, so you needn't worry before that.

Thanks , for some stupid reason i never actually thought of trying that out.

I am not sure how to explain the question, but what i want to ask is whether the party can walk in a straight line just as it does in A3 (in contrast to the diagonal way in A1 & A2) using keyboard.

You could have got two cool cryodrakes for that much essence , spending 268 essence on a single drake is really a big waste, Of course your playing style might be different but that's what i believe.

Avernum 5 can be a good place to start if you don't want to be too bothered about past stories. It also has a fairly modern engine not too different from A6.
But all said and done nothing can beat the first triology in terms of storyline.

There could be a story about the conflict of shapers and sholai, it's a rather unexplored area.

Avernum 4,5,6 etc. feel very small compared to avernum3 and i guess 1 and 2 as well.
This looks cool-Where do I start
in Second Avernum Trilogy

More like 20 days for someone not used to avernum.
(Also you don't run out of restricted places, you run out of the ones not restricted.)
