  1. I followed your instructions and all went very well, Miranda died, then I forgot to save the game and the party was killed by lava monsters before they could reach the trapdoor. So I had to retry the fight but I quit after one hour and a half spent killing one eye monsters without any sign of blue particles. Really frustrating. I can't say what I'm doing wrong now that I did well in previous fight. Any suggestion please?
  2. Hi, there's a problem of understanding in this fight, I can see the logic in the blue particles flying and shielding the opponents, so I should destroy those monsters before attack the immune Miranda, what I don't understand it is how it works. I reached the point that only two recreated monsters had those blue particles, the other two are "sane", but the two remaining I could kill 100 times that still come out to have the blue particles. Stucked.
  3. Thanks, so I don't have to worry that she extracts lives from my mates to be able to fight me, that was my suspect. However, I need a good tactic to defeat her, any suggestion?
  4. I found Valera underground and challenged her but she's too much for my solo sorceress. I managed to charm a wisp, not enough. Then when Valera says she's taking Hands' lives to regenerate, does she mean my Party? And i f so, where are they kept prisoners?
  5. On Normal with sorceress level 30 main character, she's alone underground Vardegras liar and confronting him. No way. Doesn't matter she's got all potions and wands from the whole party, and right scarabs. He just killled her witha single flame. Text suggest "to fly" but where to? Can't find an exit here. My first party was on Casual with a SW as main character and he made it killing Vardegras underground, but this time it is pretty impossible to me. Somebody wrote Vardegras underground is a bug, yes it is, because he still was upstairs when SW fought his way out. How to fix it please? I can't even fight the monsters because Vardegras intercept sorceress before!
  6. I hate the idea to finish the game and be forced to wait a year or two for next Avadon adventure, so the idea to slown down everything came to me on first round on Casual inside the Corruption, I believe it is about two third of the game (monsters which come out from under the sands if you step out of path). So I left the party and restarted the game on Normal. When new party will be at the exact same point I will start a Hard session, the same until Torment. Only at that stage the Torment party will play for what remains of the game, with the experience accumulated by others. The purpose of this strategy is thus to preserve the most exciting part of the game as long as possible. I also intend to use the final psychologically as a motivational engine, knowing that I still do not know what will happen and wanting to get there. Honestly, what do you think?
  7. Aha! I'll try the tactic, thanks both of you. I supposed I had to fight everything and always, didn't consider to bypass the constructs. Done. It was kinda easy too. Turret distracted two constructs, so Alcander was free to walk towards the stairs, while shadowalker destroyed the little jumping monsters and sorceress kept busy other two constructs, so when Alcander reached the stairs, the rest of the party joined him flying (scarab+shadowstep). Controllers resisted three charming attempts.
  8. Mmm... ok for the health, but it is the scarce impact of ice power which turns the fight to be frustrating. Once you use ice storm, ice wand, ice cone, icy lance then you have to survive while recharge. Many turns, even using recovery potions. This for me is the longest fight up to this point in the game, and one of the fights less interesting.
  9. It is maybe a difference between Casual and Normal mode, however constructs in Normal are really, really harder to destroy (and it takes A LOT of time). On Casual the party did drink from that water basin in Corruption, when on normal they didn't. Which is the most decisive factor?
  10. I chose not to reveal her what is going on under her feet, is this good or bad?
  11. I think you explained things in the right terms. There are "twin weapons" because any character chosen when game starts have a double, and Shadowalker Lance is one example of this politic. On the other hand this weapons are not similar nor the same, as you state diffferent weapons allow to shape two identical characters in different combat modes. So I decided to stay with blade and shield for main character, put aside the Lance, give the Infernal's Halberd to second Shadowalker together with a runstone +4% damage By the way there's also Heartseeker Glaive that is a very good two-handed weapon.
  12. OH. But I didn't even have the chance for a real long fight. I mean I killed maybe two infernals, then he fled. I really, really don't understand.
  13. I would only know if he is somewhere the party can reach him after he fled through the portal. The Corruption quest waits and I prefer not to leave Gryfin behind, when it is possibile to kill him, obviously. Otherwise I will go on with the game. Do you know where has he gone?
  14. Ok, found it, thanks! And I presume it is understood you won't grant me with a hint on Gryfin's location, isn't it?
  15. Hell... I have Philana's Hunt, I've been downstairs, found Laira's tools, killed some monsters, but there's a gate that won't open and the gate in Commander's hall remain close because Commander won't open it. Don't know what else to do there. Also have Hunt of the Raptors, found Gryfin with demons, he escaped, following hints about temples I visited Nolus (locked), Aetius (bandits) and the temple in Sedrica. All in vain. Don't have a quest for Nolus Temple.
  16. I found Shadowalker Lance when I thought SW was already equipped for the best. I still believe so and that I shouldn't use this Lance instead of Titansteel Broadsword+ Bonecleaver Shield, but I am a person not much into numbers and percentage, so I ask you to compare the equipments (Lance versus ) and tell me what your opinion is. Thanks! - Shadowalker Lance features: 15% Melee damage +2 Shattering Blow (didn't develop the ability) +4 Shadowalker focus (nor this one) Melee attack: 90-270 Poison 3 turns (40%) At the moment I could enhance it with a +4% All damage runestone versus - Titansteel Broadsword features: +10% Melee damage Melee attack: 97-291 Enhancement: +1 to Strenght Poison 3 turns (40%) - Bonecleaver shield features: Armor +18% +1 to Strenght +20% to Critical hit chance +5% to parry Enhancement: +1 to Strenght
  17. A more direct (desperate) question: do I find Gryfin also without taken Redbeard quest to Corruption or I need to go there to find Gryfin? I wanted to leave that quest for after I completed those which left, including the locked Nolus temple and the noises which troubles the envoy in Foresight. But is this likely or I need to go for Corruption to have the elements to accomplish this missions?
  18. Thanks, you mean the Mage doing forbidden experiments? Green dress? If it is him I already killed him. Ok ok, found him, I didn't see the stairs first time
  19. They are not annoyng, it may take time to identify all the junk items but when it's done you can select soon the useful items and only pick them up. More over junk items force you to "G" very often and doing that you don't miss valuable ones. .
  20. Got the minor quest of Pact bandits in Aetius temple, gone there I kill all those were inside the buildings, southern part of the area, but the Chosen doesn't switch the dialogue to let me say mission was accomplished. Are there other bandits there? I don't think so because I've been more then once inside the Temple and the only living people is the priest (with his god, but he's not a living person after all). It might also be the right place to hunt Gryfin but I can't find him anywhere, not only in Aetius temple.
  21. Of course! I completely forgot about the Raptor. Now, I spoke to her (twice) and I found Gryfin, but he went away through the portal. Gosh, I hate that man since Avadon 1, where is he now? NO, I thought I found him but it was a spectre... went to the three major temples Nolus, Aetius, and the one in Serdica, where is he please?
  22. Sorry, I'm lost. Where exactly is Envoy Jamie? Which area?
  23. I see... so is the Temple of Nolus? However, the gate downstairs may not open but the one in Commander's building theoretically should, because it's part of a quest... ?
