  1. Okay, whereabouts are these switches located again? I just defeated the Widow Matriarch right after getting the Report to Avadon quest, and I'm not seeing any switches on the walls of that area at all. Do I have to come back later, and if so when?
  2. If it helps, you only have to kill the ones who are outside the tower if you want to fulfill Ain's request. But honestly, if you're that sympathetic to the Wyldrym cause, why are you helping out a Kva lawcarver in the first place?
  3. I actually found that to only be the case on my first playthrough. My second, where I knew a lot better what was going on and what I should do, was a lot easier even on those last two quests, leaving me confident enough to be able to take on two of the three optional bosses, as well, and considering a traitor runthrough now. That said, I do think that the penultimate (or ultimate for a loyalist run) stage of the game, fighting one's way through to Fort Foresight, could easily be omitted or shortened without anything of value being lost.
  4. Well, you're probably never going to get clear title to that farm, no matter how rude you are.
  5. Have you tried going back to the Blackwoods and expicitly telling jerkass shaman whatsisname that you won't do it?
  6. ... or it's a hint that we will be visiting this place again next time ...
  7. Oh, yes. New cities, homes in the country. Your wife/husband at your side, children playing at your feet, and overhead, fluttering in the breeze, the flag of the Tawon Empire. Charming. Geeeetttt back to worrrrk!
  8. You get XP from reading them and a medal if you read them all.

Whoa, Wait, What? Where's Zethron in this game? How do I find him?
  10. Getting back to the original topic -- while I agree that killing the Raptors after you do their mission should probably have consequences for your relationship with Yoshiria, I take issue with how it's presented -- she acts as though you didn't agree to their request, rather than agreeing to it and then going berserk on them. It's a minor flaw, but it is a flaw.
  11. Negative on game completion, that was an old save from before I went to the Corruption Core. I'll try it again and see what she says when I talk to her about the Raptors. <interval> Okay, I did that, and sure enough, she's all "I think what you did was a grave error", which suggests that she's not going to go along with my schemes in the future. Apparently, that flag triggers when you attack the Gray Raptors whether she's there or not. (Which adds to my "she's actually working for the Raptors" theory.)
  12. Did you take Yoshiria with you on your return trip to annihilate the Raptors? Because I just did a run through their headquarters without her and without getting any messages of that sort. (I suspect that Yoshiria is actually a double agent for the Raptors, and that her abduction was actually part of a long con.)
  13. ,,, wow, I can't believe I missed that ...
  14. With regards to the lava monsters -- don't fight them. RUN. For this one fight, you are NOT stopped from moving away more than one square from these specific monsters. Don't waste time or energy fighting them, just RUN.
  15. His involvement in this one is also optional. If you don't take the quest to find him, he'll never show up. Just ask Jaime about Yoshiria, and otherwise leave him alone.
  16. I do know for sure. You can still get quests from them after kiling Xenophon. They're just a little bit ruder in dealing with you than they might otherwise have been.
  17. In fairness, he creates some pretty cool stuff this time. Which is not to say that you are wrong, exactly ...
  18. You didn't kill the entire Grey Raptors organization, just one base and not even their home base (probably in Kellamved). Further, Jaime claims to not know anything about that operation. Just as with Avadon, Grey Raptors are only told what they need to know, and anyway, he's a diplomat. They won't use him to deliver threats.
  19. Actually, it may be possible that you can 1. agree to their mission 2. complete their mission -- which gives different results depending on how much their creature destroys 3. then come back later and slaughter them And still get Yoshiria's loyalty. Of course, this will get the rest of their organization mad at you with possible consequences later.
  20. You're right, and I will cheerfully ruin any other threads you start from this point onward, too! I'm just such a jerk! TEE-HEE.
  21. The only companions in Avadon 2 who require you to murder anyone are Khalida (who has some justification for the situation) and Dedrick (who is actively horrified by what his quest leads to). Perhaps you should play something else, with less moral complexity. Tiddlywinks, perhaps. And yes there is an option for choosing companions who aren't "murderous" or "evil". You can always choose to go it alone, you noble person, you.
  22. He's a continuing character, and remember that the Grey Raptors only asked you to find out where he might be, not to kill him. They want to do THAT themselves.
