  2. Jeff's games use DirectX? Seriously? I would try redownloading the game. Or provide more info. We can't put a handle on your exception if you don't help us out.
  3. Here's an annoying one. When the scenario kills you and you don't have a full 6-person party, the invisible prefab members die too. So if you had a five-person party with slot one open, Jenneke appears and dies when the party is killed.
  4. I always read the readme's. And I read this one. Now to find a party that meets the requirements in the readme. In other news, Readme is not a word according to firefox. Nor is 'awesomified.'
  5. Custom parties are better because they are tailored to your personal wants/needs, not the programmer's. For example, I don't really see the point of giving a slith with 6 pole weapons a 3 in missiles as well. I never, ever use missiles when archery/mage/priest is better and cheaper. This is just my opinion, even though it should be fact.

  7. That movie took 'bad' to a whole new level. Some parts are the usual book-to-movie thing, but others were just ... ugh.
  8. Hey, can we just stick with base 10, 2, and 16? My head is starting to hurt. Anything not boolean, decimal, or hex is weird, OK?
  9. There's a .zip on w-dueck's SkyDrive thing: See?
  10. OK that is really neat. I especially like the new outdoor selection mabob.
  11. Anyone else notice how much Jeff uses "At last,"? I've seen all over spidweb.

I'm curious as to what the stanim.bmp graphics file looks like in a registered copy (if it's different, that is). Actually, that's just my backup copy in case I do something stupid. The one I use is at: C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\boe_full\Blades of Exile.exe My old copy of Ormus is here: C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Stuff That I Need but am not Using Now\games\boe_bin\Blades of Exile\Blades of Exile.exe My custom graphics are located here (I don't know why they are there): C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Stuff That I Need but am not Using Now\games\boe_bin -and- C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Stuff That I Need but am not Using Now\games\boe_bin\BoA Graphics And you SHOULD be able to have savegames wherever, but I guess that it's a bug or something Lord Vogel put in there for whatever reason.
  13. Where the Application is. That's what happens when I post in the morning... So, if your BoE folder was: E:\Documents\Games\Blades of Exile Then your application is: E:\Documents\Games\Blades of Exile\Blades of Exile.exe Your scenarios are: E:\Documents\Games\Blades of Exile\scenarios\scenname.exs (or whatever) And your parties are: E:\Documents\Games\Blades of Exile\partae.sav (or whatever) Maybe we could have a section in blades.ini for your scenario folder.
  14. It would probably be under that one about raising/removing all the limits.
  15. Not necessarily. I have found that VoDT is located at 'Blades of Exile.exe/scenarios', whilst your scenarios are found at 'party123.sav/scenarios'. I guess it makes it really convenient if you have multiple versions all being used at the same time, or if you are testing builds and such. Also, blades.ini is generated when the program is first run.

  17. if all else fails, move Valley of dying stuff to a different folder and rename the scenario you want to play to valleydy.exs and name the graphics file accordingly.
  18. Perhaps the bladbase used to make the scenario is wonkers. I can't think of anything else, other than a fearsome bug.
  19. The first result when I searched that with Wikipedia: (Link Removed) Wikipedia has waaayyy to much information.
  20. Use Ormus's Scenario editor. It works great on XP
  21. Ormus's just comes with VoDT, but if you mosey over here and doenload the code, I think the other two were in there.
  22. Oh, and I forgot to say that I am currently reading: Bolo Strike - William H., Jr. Keith Guardians of the West - David Eddings Steel City Magic - Wen Spencer Edits don't work when 3 people have posted

  24. It should allow the user to specify a special savegame and scenario folder, perhaps as a thingymabob in blades.ini.
  25. http://www.geocities.com/tracihedlund/PixleProfusion/Pixle_Profusion.html There's a bunch of Tim Farland stuff there, so it might be included as well. [/shameless promotion of Jewel's hugemassive graphics archive]
