I tried reloading OBoE, and the changing name to VALLEYDY trick (which I tried before, but it didn't work). It worked! It's alive! I've already played "On a Boat to Algiers" and am in the middle of "Of Good and Evil"! I love Blades of Exile.

I have no trouble loading save files. However, whenever I hit the "Custom Scenario" Button, with a party loaded (because of course it won't work without a party loaded) it tells me that there are no scenario filed in "Blades of Exile Scenarios Folder". I never saw "Blades.ini", I just unzipped it from the rar. file. "Load Scenario", of course, just takes me to Valley of Dying Things. I can only wish for a file dialog. I keep getting more and more interested in playing BoE scenarios, but it seems as if they just keep getting farther away.

I'm still having a little trouble with the free BOE being convinced I have no scenarios even though there are some in the folder. Is there a necessary install path?

Thanks. I'll try that. Any suggestions for what to play first? I take it my BoE shareware characters that beat Valley of Dying Things won't work, but I'd be glad to find myself wrong about that.

Oh, and I probably should have mentioned this also, I found http://info.wsisiz.edu.pl/~kowalsg0/ , but all I download is something called a "RAR" file, and I don't know what to do with it.

Oh, if this helps, I have Windows, sothe Mac sites don't work for me.

I've played several Spiderweb Software games, and I'm excited about BOE being free. However, I can't seem to find a site to download it from. I do know someone has to have compiled the source code, but I figured someone would have done it already.
