  1. Ah. I suspected it had to do with reputation. Fortunately, I can have Learned Darian fix that up for me. Thanks! Edit: Oh well, it didn't work.
  2. I have all the necessary ingredients (purified essence, black crystal powder, glaahk scale), but I can't find anyone to craft the item. The walkthrough said it was Lindian in the Marsh Crossroads, but he doesn't have any conversation options about it. Who makes it? Is there something special I need to do first?
  3. ...And of course there's the Ultimate Shade, Danette herself. Danette's Belt gives +3 to Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Endurance. I'd say it's worth it. Oh, and Danette's room also has a canister each for Str, Dex, Int, and End, if I remember correctly.
  4. Khyryk! My favorite character. FYT. ("fixed y'all's typos")
  5. Let us assume this: Lepus timidus is a drakon. Now it all makes sense. Edit: I cringe at blanket statements like the one Retlaw May just made, even though I probably agree in this case... still, a revision would be nice.
  6. Quote: Originally written by Iffy couldn't pick a name: Yes, the Guardian Claymore. This weapon is the most powerful weapon in the game. For most of the game, yes. But there are better swords out there if you look hard enough (think Porphyra Ruins, Pit of the Titan).
  7. You can only purify Shaped armor, not blades. Purification does not alter the item in any way except to prepare it for conversion to an artifact. For adding damage... You might try War Blessing or Battle Pods, if you haven't already. That often makes all the difference (especially if you have a creation or two). Some other weapons to look forward to: Elemental blades (flaming sword, frozen blade, oozing blade) have greater base damage than the Shaped blade (and you can enchant them!), and for late game there are Puresteel weapons (Puresteel Blade, Puresteel Soulblade). Also, using a golden crystal on one of the elemental blades improves its elemental damage. For instance, the oozing blade would get a giant acid bonus.
  8. ...and act like that, I suppose. Okay, well now you know, so it's all good.

  11. Erm... you couldn't tell that from Slarty's comics?
  12. While we're at it, why don't we just shape a few serviles and make them carry our stuff?
  13. Perhaps we'll finally get to see the Shaper Council... that would be interesting. As a rebel, your ultimate goal would be to kill the Council, and a loyalist would have to galvanize them into REAL action. No more Red Tape and bureaucracy. Yeah!
  14. Indeed, Excalibur. Different colors must also have different names. red = fyora blue = cryoa green = dikiyora pink = ?
  15. I say... how about a hungry Augmented Chef Alpha wielding a Sauce Pan and Flaying Knife? *shapes Chef Alpha flawlessly* *laughs devlishly* *Alpha arms for war* Where's my camera when I need it?
  16. Whewwww. Holy mackerel, that was long. I have no inclination to become embroiled in this debate. But why, oh why must you always say "Shaper=Nazi"? Well, if you must. Let's just say that Lepus timidus is a drakon, and accept the fact that he will inevitably disagree with us Shapers. I remain an unshaken loyalist, yet open-minded as ever. (This is very possible in the world of Geneforge, whether it can coexist with your stereotype or not.)

  18. He was just talking about edible vlish, not necessarily Delicious ones. Also, The Ratt may be right: those "starving Shapers" would hardly have had the right sauce available. By the way, Iffy, I think you've posted the spam dude quite enough. If you must accuse people like that, go for more variation to keep it interesting. Actually, how about not. You're not a mod, so don't talk like one. Don't mean to be harsh.
  19. "Starving Shapers have reported that vlish meat is horrible and nearly inedible, but you doubt that a battle alpha would care." - G2 See? No tasty vlish for you.
  20. Cheats break the game way too fast, and are obviously not necessary. Just lower the difficulty level if you're having trouble, or you could get into a lot more (like LaKiRa@ said). I learned this truth the hard way in G4. My character was no longer challenged by anything, and I never used cheats again. "The human form is not strong enough to handle that much power. It brings arrogance, and madness." - Macnulty, Geneforge 2
  21. Quote: Originally written by Prick Against the Kicks: Goethe allowed them to censor it, and it became "the f---ing witches." Ha! I bet he had a good laugh at them.
