  1. This is why I usually stop posting here. Do you need your Mommy to hold your hand when you cross the street as well? If you can't play the game with out cheating, why play at all? Just make a game with a "YOU WIN!!!" button and be done with it. Damn, this is annoying. It's almost time to go.
  2. I played a Purist Loyalist Agent. Cleared the Monastary Caves with some effort, but it's doable. On Torment. Infact, that was the game I started noticing Alwan's fatal flaws. The Agent is that strong. She can can stand on her own canisters or no.
  3. No no no... Turn them into wands!!! Discipline wands kick bootay. And, I might add, discipline wands do tons of damage to Creators and Spawners, as well as serviles and other creations. Not so hot against humans and other shapers though. Stick, gemstone, saltweed, and artilla eye. PAIN!!!
  4. I have had Alwan with every single one of his stats raised to the max. So... That line about not using him right? He dies to easily in torment. That's all there is.
  5. Testing is easy. Just question the mind for answers and then use the tests where leadership and mechanics matter. Presto. No fuss, no muss. The Guardian is NOT a good starting class really. You shouldn't quit the game because the Guardian sort of blows chunks. That said, something must be wrong because I can blow through the first island on Torment with javelins and batons and it's not that difficult really. Just takes tactical application and a little luck.
  6. If he can't find the search function, it may explain why he has trouble playing an Agent.
  7. Because if something is at zero, the stat boosts don't work. This has been driving me crazy. I am glad somebody figured it out.
  8. Hmm how much mechanics does it take to shut off those spawners again? I recall doing it once... But I don't remember. I think I had somewhere around 15 mechanics plus some items.
  9. No points in healing! NONE! With no points in healing you will still end up with around 11 actual points in it. NO CREATIONS!!! Waste of time. USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!! I have already laid out the Agent Q&A so much that it is now annoying. No points in Endurance. You get terrible returns on it. It's a complete waste of time for an Agent. And if you are getting hit or taking damage, you are doing something wrong. Do not take offense, but Agents are for people that like to think. They are for pure tactical application and using your mind to pound enemies into mush. To effectly play an Agent to her full abilities, you must think like an Agent. Can you?
  10. Well, to be fair, he might be somewhat better at lower difficulties.
  11. Stop powergaming and try some strange new concept called "roleplaying."
  12. I have fully buffed Alwan with Steel Skin, Augmentation, pretty much every buff one could muster and he still dies. With ease. I have seen Battle Alphas last longer than he does. I have seen THAHDS that last longer than he does. Greta has him in by leaps and bounds. Come endgame, she has a mass kill attack. She can really thin down the incoming mobs. Alwan can do no such thing, other than just stand there, look stupid, and DIE.
  13. See... Vlish are smart enough to use charms... What else might they be plotting when the shapers are not looking?
  14. Quote: I have severe issues with Alwan. There are dialog points where it says that Alwan grasps his baton angrily, but he has no baton. No means of any sort of ranged attack what so ever. Greta has both melee and ranged covered. Alwan seems to be good at one thing. Dying. Even Augmented and fully buffed, he goes down to quickly for my liking on Torment. I can make creations tougher than he is. For being so close to becoming a true shaper, he has no quick action or parry at all. He is a liability. He should have at least had a baton as a ranged option, with a chance to upgrade later to something a little better. Keeping him alive is at best, an irritation and distraction. Told you so. Alwan sucks monkey balls. I have said all this before. He both sucks and blows. He's a worthless piece of offal.
  15. There are no suckers on Vlish tentacles. Sorry.
  16. You must kill a very annoying Vlish to get it.
  17. I have the same sort of keyboard. I am not touching the patch. Why can't the quicksave just be what it has always been for the past two Geneforge games?
  18. He's on Dhonal. He needs to make contact with Greiner or whatever he's called. Spharons serviles are kicking his hind end. No matter where he goes, he has hit a wall of sorts. Going with no creations might actually be better as there would be more points into vital skills. Harmony was bad no doubt about that. The Vlish Woods was a nightmare! I blew through there the first time somehow. I mean, they didn't even slow me down. And those twin minds really laid into me. Yeeeeeouch. With a Shaper or an Agent, the lack of canisters really isn't that noticeable. With a Guardian, it is. Not getting magic creations was a mistake but that's ok, I wanted to see what it was like. Having a Vlish or two or a couple of el-cheapo Artillas for mortar support would have made everything much easier. My melee monsters have this annoying problem of getting gunned down by ranged enemy fire before they can reach their targets.
  19. I am learning something here. While any number of my Shapers can make battle creations, all of which are quite buff and durable, and supported by magic, my Loyalist Guardian can not. Skill points are so damn tight right now. Battle shaping is low. I can make Alphas, bugs, Thahd Shades, and Thahds. And they all DIE in dozens. I did not realize just how much of a difference canisters made in game play until now. My last Hunter Guardian absolutely dominated. He went in batons blazing and his creations smashing everything in sight. My Loyalist on the other hand... Is getting smacked around badly on Torment. I didn't think there was that much difference. But there is. His Thahd Shades hold up rather well... But he only has two of them most of the time. And that's not enough. This has been a real eye opener on how much effect Canisters have on game play.
  20. Then why bother with the script at all? Conflicting story, broken elements, Shanti alive running into her dead self, and the whole ending thrown out of whack along with a major plot element completely broken. Meh. Oops a tyop
  21. Did you change the ending to reflect that Shanti didn't die, change major plot elements also involved, and the special encounter where you find Shanti's body?
