  1. Thank you I got it. I did had have much trouble to retreat to the narrow ledge once the worms appeared, but no problem to deal with the pit crawler himself. It moves very slowly and in fact, it never really approached my party but stayed away, just in range of my missiles.
  2. Well, my fighter has 6 in defense and dexterity but parry isn't allowed to him yet. I think it's because of bonus points from traits but how can I know? I can easily account for bonus from items but what bonus do I get in stats from : - natural mage - pure fighter (or something like that, don't remember the exact words) - divinely touched
  3. Thank you, I will try using missiles and use its spawns to shield my characters from melee.

  5. You can use one of those numerous source of light (lanterns, candles...). They lighten the dungeon, stay alight a very long time (never had to light another one until I get to the "surface" again) and you find a lot of them. It really heps to notice items on the ground.

    Gelmax

Thanks, I found it. But he still is tough. I can kill him but his summoned poisonous bats keep killing me. Well, I saved just before and will return later.
  7. The pit crawler is hard to find and harder to kill. Its spawns were annoying, but when he decided to move a slaughtered my party. Any idea to defeat it?
  8. Where is hiding the goblin shaman Gelmax, after he running away from the bandit hideout? I remember he mentionned the North, but didn't find anything.
  9. Thank you. In fact I took the western rapids for the eastern ones (those leading to Hawk's Landing). So I wasn't looking at the right place.
  10. Rivlin is the guy who give you the quest to rescue Aminro. He is in the Blackchasm fortres. But who is Ronaldo? Is he related to a quest? I never heard about him.
  11. Where is the crystal field the nepharim on Shanker island (I forgot his name) wishes to know?
  12. I got the quest to get a view of the westen rapids. Wich islands do I need to explore? Are they near the avernite outpost just before the rapids? Before it? Or farther (in the rapids)?
  13. That's what I thought, glad to have saved before openning their cell's door. Thank you.
  14. South of Hawk's Landing (south of the river), I found a cave with sliths and a room full of prisonners. Are they part of a quest (maybe in Exodus?) or can I free them now without losing anything?
  15. I was able to get all the money I wished by buying herbs at the nephil village (very cheap), making potions and selling them in Stormport. Then I bought mandrake root from the hermit on the isles and made as many skill potion as I could. In fact it was too easy...
  16. If I remember well, Pachtar's plate give also +1 AP (and maybe other bonuses) so it may be better than the robe.
  17. Exile 2 was (and still is) my favorite. It also was the first I played.I loved the plot and the world. Exile 3 was great, but as much as I loved the huge world and the outdoor graphics, I found the plot rather weak and I missed the "patriotic" feeling I had when I fought the Empire in Exile 2.

    food

Food was a problem at the beginning of Exile 1 and 3 because it was not so cheap and you had few money to spend on it. In Exile 2 it quickly wasn't much of a problem.
  19. You lose the ceremonial items you may pick and use (they are very powerfull!), but there are tricky ways to avoid this (check earlier posts). You keep items you may loot from slain foes during the test.
  20. Some quests are received when talking with townpeople and there are some quests which appear later on the board (at least for one quest in New Harston). But anyway it's good policy to check the jobboard and talk to everybody in town before exploring the neighbourhood.
  21. In the tests, the nephils yield when they have only a few HP left, except for the one in the south east room (who summons bats and teleports from corner to corner). But if you deal them a lot of dommage when they are weakened enough, they don't get the time to yield. Of course, you still have the option to kill them when you receive the message (to get the loot), I don't know how it affects your relationship with the clan.
  22. Quote: Originally written by Nioca: You don't need arrows to use a bow. (I have to admit, while the unlimited ammunition is neat, I miss arrows. They could add a whole new dynamic to the game.) Arrows where interesting but - their weight in Avernum 3 sucked - I too often forgot to resplenish my supply before leaving town And as Dikiyoba said, you can always use javelin for the fun. I doo for my slith mage (weightless backpack helps).
  23. You have three shades in the game, the first is in Formello or Silvar (moving from one town to the other, you can't do business when it's in town), the second is in Almeria and the third is in Blosk or Dharmon (again, moving from one town to the other).
  24. I never use cheats. But I do a lot of reload!
  25. If I remember well, you get the mission from both Pirro and Camp Samuel. I guess you can also get a reward from both.
