Not true. Unless The registration data is in a file in the Exile folder. Updating the OS woul change nothing.
  2. Do you have Windows 2000 or XP? The Exile games (and Nethergate too for some inexplicable reason) do not cover the taskbar in 2000 or XP like they did in 95, 98, and ME. In order to play with the taskbar covered up, you will have to manually change it each time you play the game. Right-click on your taskbar and select Properties. Then, deslect the check box that says "Keep taskbar on top of other Windows". After you're done playing, you will probably want to go back in and check the box again.

Seconded. I think the best one was the barrier in the northern islands in A1 that talked about how you were dying but you just didn't care.
  4. In Avernum 2, there is a secret passage outdoors near Erika's tower. You'll have to fight some efreeti, but at the very end, the words Easter Egg appear in the message log. After you do this, return to the Tower of Magi and go to the portal room. The button on the bottom with no label beside it will take you to a special Easter Egg area.

Edit: Bomber beat me to it. Curse you, Bomber!

  5. The combat mode thing is well-known. I've used it for Nethergate, the trilogy, and BoA. I'm not sure if it works in the Exile or Geneforge engines or not. If you do it the right way, you can even get into the room in the back of Erika's tower. I've also been known to push barrels and crates around. It's a shame you can't do it with chests. Also, pushing crates around is hazardous if you're anywhere near water.

Where would we be without puns?
And here I thought that we had seen the last of the puns with Thuryl's absense. tongue
  7. Teenagers under 18, while unable to get credit cards, can open a checking account at a bank and get a debit card that can be used in place of a credit card. That's what I did when I was a teen anyway. Heh, listen to me, I've only been 20 for a month, and I'm already talking about my teenage years as ancient history. rolleyes

Really? It's been out for years? I thought it was more recent than that. :p
You'll soon be free of lice with all that nit-picking, Dikiyoba. :p

Edit: I edited the 4 to four in an effort to at least keep some semblance of sanity around here. That's probably a lost cause though.

This room has a chill charm, which is quite nice, given how few amulets you probably have. Continue south, and fight more bugs. You'll find a dead vahnatai with a scroll on it. Pick it up. Go down to the south, and open the door. Kill the larvae, and go west, kill the undead vahnatai, and check the cupboard. Now you have the second scroll. Now check the east wall of the main room for secret passages, and get up onto the platform. Use the code you've obtained to awaken the vahnatai (BLWLB). That's it for here.
