Do you have Windows 2000 or XP? The Exile games (and Nethergate too for some inexplicable reason) do not cover the taskbar in 2000 or XP like they did in 95, 98, and ME. In order to play with the taskbar covered up, you will have to manually change it each time you play the game. Right-click on your taskbar and select Properties. Then, deslect the check box that says "Keep taskbar on top of other Windows". After you're done playing, you will probably want to go back in and check the box again.

Yeah, I knew about the Angierach one. I opened the wrong save file to make the screenshot. :
So, it's just Formello and nothing exciting, then?

I've played through the whole game, and I seem to be missing a set of coordinates.
Does anyone know where the missing coordinates can be found and where they lead to?
Edit: In case you can't tell (If you can't you have no business answering this question ), this is A2.

It's very great now. You don't need to wait for the update to see how great it is.

Sounds very good to me. I preferred the Ask About and keyword talking interface though. I can live with that, but the rest of the changes sound really cool. I would definitely be willing to pay $10 for that.

Wow. I didn't know that one. How the heck did you figure that out, Zephyr? I'll be sure to check that out if I ever feel the urge to play A3 again.

In Avernum 2, there is a secret passage outdoors near Erika's tower. You'll have to fight some efreeti, but at the very end, the words Easter Egg appear in the message log. After you do this, return to the Tower of Magi and go to the portal room. The button on the bottom with no label beside it will take you to a special Easter Egg area.
Edit: Bomber beat me to it. Curse you, Bomber!

The combat mode thing is well-known. I've used it for Nethergate, the trilogy, and BoA. I'm not sure if it works in the Exile or Geneforge engines or not. If you do it the right way, you can even get into the room in the back of Erika's tower. I've also been known to push barrels and crates around. It's a shame you can't do it with chests. Also, pushing crates around is hazardous if you're anywhere near water.

The reason 'justlikeme' didn't work is because the Reset Hotility cheat is 'pleaselikeme'

I took a screenshot that should help you out.

Teenagers under 18, while unable to get credit cards, can open a checking account at a bank and get a debit card that can be used in place of a credit card. That's what I did when I was a teen anyway. Heh, listen to me, I've only been 20 for a month, and I'm already talking about my teenage years as ancient history.

I discovered Avernum four years ago. I had been playing the Nethergate demo to death since 1999 and found the trilogy when I went to find out how to buy the full version of Nethergate.
First Avernum: A1
Favorite Avernum: A2

You actually got a summoned dark wyrm to breathe darkness? It never would for me

I'm curious as too how fast Limoncelli is when he's drunk.
Good stuff. I am anxious to read more.

It seems to me that the PDN of the person who started this topic violates the CoC.

I remember something about lizards changing gender in Jurassic Park. Now, whether this is true or not, who knows?

It's good to see someone excited about the Avernum trilogy (or should I say quadrilogy these days ) I can almost guarantee that you will like Avernum 2 even better than Avernum 1.

Is it just me, or are there 2 different people named Lazarus on these boards?

Once you enter, you'll see lots of crystal coffins. Your job is to free the vahnatai inside. There are herbs outside of this building to the NE and SE. There are plenty of chitrach larvae, chitrach and null bugs here. In the NE there are some barriers. You can either walk through them or go north and use move mountains to get to the next room. This room has a chill charm, which is quite nice, given how few amulets you probably have. Continue south, and fight more bugs. You'll find a dead vahnatai with a scroll on it. Pick it up. Go down to the south, and open the door. Kill the larvae, and go west, kill the undead vahnatai, and check the cupboard. Now you have the second scroll. Now check the east wall of the main room for secret passages, and get up onto the platform. Use the code you've obtained to awaken the vahnatai (BLWLB). That's it for here. -
I'm not quite sure, but I think you can't get to Erika until much later in the game. I don't exactly know because I cheated and used the Orb of Thralni to get there before the guards would let me in. I did notice that after I met with Prazac, the guards did not try to stop me though.

[QB]It won't be if it's the same computer (game still registered) and it covered it up before. An update in OS would unregister the game (normally).
