  1. Does anyone remember where this spell might be obtained? I played through A1 again recently and have earned everything but that single spell. Many thanks!
  2. I'm pretty sure it drains your skill points, though it's been a while since I used one.
  3. The undead ruins is waaaay back near the beginning of the game, Fort Draco area. It's the same place as the Nephil fort in Avernum 1. Head south across the river from Fort Draco, and use move mountains on a wall to the west. A demon waits for you with the key.
  4. Hi- I had figured as much, since you appeared on these boards right about the time you emailed me. Hope you GF3 experiences have been going well! I'm not an administrator, I was just lucky enough to register on these boards as soon as they were announced to moderators.
  5. At the purification plant, enter from the south. Go west to talk with servant mind and have him open the doors for you. With the creator's hall, make sure you have the quest from Lord Rahul to destroy the source of the rogues. That should help you enter the building.
  6. You can explore areas even when they aren't cleared- you just have to make it to the zone where you can reach the next area on the map. The west workshop is very tough to clear- you have to meet some very specific requirements (not have a control baton, collect one in the workshop, or something like that). Clearing it doesn't really matter, since it's a dead end anyway. Darkstone core is also a dead end, so clearing it doesn't do much either. You may not have completely explored Darkstone core yet. You may have to kill the beasts to the west, or the tough golem to the SW. Can you be more specific about not being able to enter the Creator's hall or the purification plant?
  7. I feel GF4 should definitely not focus around a young, untrained apprentice who is surprised by rebellious serviles, rogues, or canisters. That shtick was OK for GF and GF2, but GF3 it was kind of old. Personally, a system like Nethergate could be quite interesting- provide two sides of a story from the get-go, instead of having the whole "choose your own adventure" plot.
  8. Try to make your question more legible- I couldn't figure out what you were trying to ask. Click on the machines located at the perimeter of the creator. One is broken, to the SE. If you fix it, it will heal the creator.
  9. It's also fairly humorous how the rebels say they can give you power, yet it's so much more easy to become powerful by playing a loyalist with a canister addiction. Oh well.
  10. It's been way too long to help you much more than the FAQ can. I remember Galag-trav being a bit of a pain to complete, mainly due to all of the pillars and gates. My best advice is to search the area of the first floor thoroughly. You'll find it eventually.
  11. The charm is at the Tower gates, right before Khyryk's tower. Follow the south path and search thoroughly. You will find a body with the charm. If you mean the ring, then you have to make it yourself. Check the FAQ posted above for more info.
  12. If so, where is it? There's supposed to be one there, but there isn't.
  13. No, you can't use the same key for all three games. However, when you order you'll be informed what file to copy over to install the registered version on your computers. If not, check the tech support page.
  14. The control rod is given to you by Khyryk. Also, pylons are easy if you don't mind a cheesy tactic. Haste yourself to at least 12 AP. Move two spaces, attack with a missile, run away with your remaining AP. Rinse and repeat. That should take care of the pylons.
  15. No shop trains in Drakon-making, so you're stuck with only 2 points in the skill. This is probably not intentional, as there seems to be a canister left out of the game somewhere.
  16. What class are you? If you're an agent, you might have a tougher time. However, if you're an agent, there's no reason why you shouldn't have daze. Both Guardians (use pods) and Shapers (use creations) should find him beatable without Daze.
  17. Yes, it is better to be somewhat arrogant if you want to be pro-shaper. However, you can still be fairly nice to people and still be counted as pro-shaper, just don't overdo it. I find it best to not give an opinion unless directly asked, and to also make sure that I always get the maximum out of a given quest. Such actions usually are pro-shaper as you have to be fairly rude.
  18. Twice as a loyalist (agent & guardian), 0.9 times as a rebel shaper. I, too, have gotten bored. Oh well, I'll try to struggle through the FAQ before the month is up.
  19. It's not a crate per se, but a special encounter in the NE room. You may have skipped the text without knowing it.
  20. Quote: Originally written by Morningstar Wit: Alorael, who doesn't know how anyone can live without a numeric keypad. He also doesn't understand how to cultivate sorghum. Could there be a causal link? I had to purchase a USB numeric keypad for Avernum specifically. Oh wait, I'm supposed to be using the argument that it's necessary for work. Yes, that's it. I need it for work.
  21. I have made the charm, so I confirm that it works.
  22. Have you slain the eyebeast to the west? It is guarding the key that will open this door.
  23. An update was submitted and should be posted shortly to GameFAQs. Many thanks to all who have been helping. I've reached a lull in my playing, mainly because the rebel path isn't that great- a rebel-only trainer would have made my day. As it is, my canister-crazed loyalist guardian was much more powerful. Oh well. I'll continue ASAIFLI. About three more areas still need descriptions.
  24. I can verify that the rotghroth drops a fang frequently- it has dropped one all three playthroughs I've done.
