  1. In all likelihood you used the editor too much. Personally, I've never had problems, and the editor or game altering functions can mess things up- people can't test for things like that. I think you would have been OK had you tried to fight without the weapon, though it would have been more difficult.
  2. It sounds like you should manage without problems. Make sure there aren't any memory-hogging extraneous programs running. If it gets really bad, try turning off sounds.
  3. I'm pretty sure no one teaches the skill in A1. Andrew has a few points, and there's a mind crystal somewhere, but that's it. From what I've heard from people who have the hint book, you are supposed to get it from Fort Dranlon, but it never happened. Oh well, safe travel 3 isn't too hard to find.
  4. The game seems to be slightly slanted towards the celts- more spells are available for them, characters are less likely to be hostile, and many areas are significantly easier. But one should definitely play as both- the two stories coexist quite well.
  5. No clue whatsoever. Try downloading from a different site. I'm moving this to Tech support to improve the chances of spiderweb seeing this topic.
  6. If you don't know, you're probably ok. Just don't do anything sneaky. We'll be watching you...
  7. Well, I can't really help too much with 1, other than stating that I had similar problems with ice based creatures in earlier versions of A3. It may be necessary to reinstall, but really have no clue. 2) Check the back door (to the South).
  8. Did you confer with Anaximander? That may make a difference, but I'm not sure.
  9. This forum is not dead! It's just sleeping. Still, be my guest and practice away.
  10. I wouldn't call it a bug so much as a minor bit of incompleteness with the editor. The editor can do -almost- everything.
  11. If you've registered on one computer, you should be able to have it registered on the other computer. However, your saved game files won't transfer.
  12. Not too many more ideas, but maybe you should move the installer off your desktop, and directly onto C:. It probably won't do a thing, but you never know. Also, try updating your version of win98. Check out microsoft's homepage for more information on this.
  13. I've heard some people have had good luck in installing the game via CD. They can be ordered through spiderweb, but you run the risk of not trying the game out fully before you purchase it. Still, definitely try updating you antivirus program. It's unlikely that that is the cause, but still, it doesn't hurt.
  14. It should definitely work. XP is a rather comprehensive OS and will probably have no problems managing Homeland.
  15. Hm, send this to spidweb- I've run out of ideas.
  16. Do you have it set on "always change resolution?" If not, that may help.
  17. I've seen similar problems with A3. It may be necessary to reinstall, but I'm not sure. Maybe try redownloading.
  18. I've had similar problems. It happens from time to time, and there's not much that can be done.
  19. I've not had any problems with XP and Geneforge, but I haven't played it excessively on XP. It sounds like you probably are having a driver problem of some sort. Do you have similar problems after playing other games?
