  1. Right-clicking always moves you only one space. Left-clicking occasionally moves you two spaces. That has been my experience anyway.
  2. It also could be a graphics issue. In compatibility mode tab, try selecting "Runin 256 colors", and see if that works.
  3. I experienced this exact problem with XP Pro. Here is how to solve this issue: Right-click on the shortcut for the game. Select Properties. Select the Compatibility. There should be check-box that says: "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" with a dropdown menu box below it. Check this box and ensure that either Windows 95 or Windows 98 is selected. Click OK. The problem should be solved. It worked for me anyway.
  4. Ironically, games that are more resource intensive, such as Neverwinter Nights, run fine without any lag under Rosetta. Go figure.

  6. Odd that. The games seem to run fine on my MacBook Pro running 10.4.8. I guess I'm just special.

  8. They still work fine for me, so I'm not sure what your problem is.
  9. The log is now available here .
  10. I'm curious, what were you dual-booting, and how did you muck it up? In my experience, dual-booting is fairly straightforward.
  11. When I saw this topic, all I could think was, You see I've been through Avernum with a mage with no name It felt good to be out of the rain....
  12. I think that would take more cheesecake than most normal people can afford.
  13. About as long as I've been number 391.
  14. Are you serious? Outcast is by far the worst one.

I turned this one into a Prologue really just to get it off my plate. But, yea. The plan was to do more. I want to finish Redwall, do Martin the Warrior, and Salamandastron at least. Don't expect anything anytime soon though. It took me two years for the beginning of the first, remember. No Mossflower?! That was the best book in the entire series.
  16. I remember that door was one of the main things that got me all excited about GF3. What a disappointment when I saw that stupid Drakon
  17. Probably because it'll have NEW things. Starting with a different plot, different graphics, different creations, and weather will play a bigger part, etc. Besides it's only what? 3 more dollars? So far, it seems worth it. I just noticed that Intrall said it first Quote: - New creation! The Kyshakk, which presumably shoots electricity from its teeth, is greenish in a different form (see Rivergate Keep shot), and is a shaper creation. - New PC's, like the two shown in the Screenshots, possibly Melee and Mage? - New frame around the page (which was to be expected) - Avernum style "?" marks on the Mini-map, to easily locate shops, etc... - Some creation animations are updated, like the golems. - New health metre? Bars next to the PC are different. So is the potion symbol + Question mark. - Trees show up as green on the minimap - Two places where text appears now, in the box, and over the map. Edit: if memory serves me right (however, I could be dead wrong about this), wasn't there a kid on GF2? Somewhere with the takers? I could swear he/she was talking about his/her mom or something.

The other one is quite obvious just think about it for a second. And I don't care either way. It'll be convenient at certain occasions to have 800x600, but I don't care much about it.
  19. I loved the dialogue options. Sure sometimes I hated having to make some options over the others, but after playing BoE I realized how much I actually like having a choice on what to say. And I’m sorry but the little chat thing on BoE, where you have to ask what you want is really annoying, especially when you’ve never played the game before and have no idea what to ask. Even when sometimes the options on GF were one-sided. It will be interesting playing differently though, and allowing your quest to play a bigger role. I’m really excited about GF4, with the weather, the new character choices, and better quests. The reason why I didn't finish playing GF3 was mostly because of the moral options. Although it is just a game, it just felt wrong to pick between two way extreme sides. At times I didn't feel like aligning myself with either of them. Not mentioning that I was hoping GF3 would bring a certain spice and distinct point of view, instead I found two more severe versions of the factions presented before and the extinction of the faction I cared about the most. SoT: exactly

  21. The Ornk Lord is found in Geneforge I. As the name says, he is the "Leader" of the Ornks. I don't think he can talk (I could be wrong; he might say stupid things, but I can't remember). He is found in the Sentinels, and killing him gives you the ornkskin gloves, which are rather strong, but come with some type of penalty. Edit: Yes! I beat you, Dikiyoba
  22. I believe that the boat you are looking for is in the Guarded Docks. If memory serves me right, there will be tons of mines so you'll need red, green, and brown spore batons. Since you've killed Trajkov, then chances are you'll have to face the sholai so be prepared for a fight. Although you did use the GF so it shouldn't be that bad, not easy but not that hard. I think if you head to the NW you'll find a servant mind, and if you feed it then it will help you somehow (sorry but I can't remember how). Also, if you need more help Schrodinger's FAQ/Walkthrough is extremely helpful. You can find it at the top left right corner in this forum. Edit: Damn you and your fast fingers Dikiyoba, damn you
  23. And that's the reason why I always wait before joining a sect. For example, as soon as I started playing GF2 I knew I would joined the Awanaked, but I didn't actually join until later, much later. After I sold everything I needed from the other sects, since I knew that they would run out of cash, and I def didn't start killing people until the very end. By the time all shops ran out of money I had a good deal of my own and didn't care much for it. I would say that you could always cheat and get out of being an Awanaked, sell all your stuff and then join again, but that's up to you. Btw Quote: Originally written by Miya: you buying things from them won't give them more cash. I haven't played GF2 in a while, but I thought that you buying things from them did give them money. Not much, since they rob you, but some.

(If you didn't use canisters, you get sent off to war and die there, so that isn't much better). To get the "real" unaligned ending, I believe you have to kill at least the Taker and Barzite leaders. (You may as well scour the whole damned map clear of all life, just to be safe. I know for a fact that doing so gets you the best ending.) Your canister usage has an effect on the unaligned ending, but not a huge one. I cannot believe you tried that, seriously. GF2 was the only game which I thought I had gone through all the different endings; however, I don't think I've ever just left without doing anything .
