If you are referring to the couple of if-statements that work like this:Code:if (get_flag(20,19) == 1) { message_dialog(".",""); end(); } set_flag(20,19,1); message_dialog(".","");

(applause)
Wow. How long did that take?

Honestly, I thought the hellhounds looked like frogs. Evil, flaming, demonic frogs.

Let's not forget their total excess of legs. That would probably account for some of their insane parry/riposte abilities. And their incredibly speed (let's not forget how many times your party gets "ambushed" by a horde of chitrachs in what was moment before an empty corridor) would also help.

You can't get in from the south until you've come in from the north. You can't come in from the north until you've gone west of Fort Remote.
By the way, have fun with the pylons.

No, it's just labelled differently, I think. In A3, it's something like "Make Anama forgive you".

Ouch, that stretches the screen.
1) I agree that it's probably a reset_dialog() problem.
2) Take out the end(); that's within the if-statement. That's what's keeping the state from getting to the set_flag() call before the second time through.
3) Funny how that works. Happened to me a lot as well.

If Haakais could use that spell, they would cast it about every 3 rounds and so they are completely invulnerable.
And at least no NPC ever, ever, EVER cast Sanctuary in A2. That'd have been unpleasant. -

When I first decided to tackle the Honeycomb, I spent probably about 10 hours of gameplay just trying to map the whole area.
It was awful.
I'm just glad the wolves left me alone. Not that it would've been difficult, but it would've been annoying. -

I thought slimes were immune to mental effects like Daze. At any rate, I put my archer/thief in first and got the slimes attention. My fighter was able to easily slip by them at that point.
And it certainly made that quest easier... -
Okay, would you enlighten us as to where it is?

Hm... I remember some item-forgers asking for a length of cavewood to make a wand. Does anyone know what they meant by that? I mean, just a stick?

Or, you could just email Jeff. That might be a good idea, particularly if the bug doesn't go away.

Well, in my experience, the freakish bonus to Spell Points from just one more level of Intelligence beats the SP-conserving bonuses from one level of Mag. Efficiency.
So, bottom line: increase your SP with intelligence, and just invest in some energy potions. You end up with a lot more energy left over.

Besides, interesting topics don't abound in these boards, so we might as well recycle old ones. -
You've got to hit Edit Statistics, then go to the Spells section. Then click the icons next to Dispel Barrier until you have level 3.

Because they're just that powerful.
If only they could cast Repel Spirit... that would make the contradiction so much better.

Ephesos, nephils aren't frail. Actually, as far as defense goes, they're the same as humans and sliths except against fire, where sliths apparently shine (I noticed no difference).
Nephil PCs tend towards being frail characters, in that players are encouraged to develop characters low on defense. After all, Nephils make the best archers and thieves, neither of which are renowned for defensive ability. -
Generally speaking, the skills trainers are exorbitantly expensive. In fact, they're so expensive that you'll have no cash left over for gear or (more importantly) spells.
It's much easier to just buckle down and drop one or two levels into those secondary skills along the way. (2 First Aid on every PC works wonders)

Okay, answers...
1. Well, a few points can't hurt. And after all, you can buy them somewhere along the line. But don't try and make their bows their primary weapons, except on a designated archer. After all, pole weapons are insane in this game, and it's a shame to miss out on the absolutely unbelievable amounts of damage they deal, just so you can ping stuff from afar. The special bows aren't focused on damage, after all... it just matters that they hit the target.
2. Well, humans don't get an xp penalty. That's the main difference. And again, don't forget that nephil are designed to be rather frail, so a slith (for massive damage-dealing and some fire resistance) and a human (for quick leveling-up) wouldprobably balance out the party a bit.
EDIT: This is what I get for trying to think through a reply... I get pre-empted by two other people.

I don't believe it's ever mentioned again, since I believe that's what you were asking. (Right?)
It's all left up to your imagination.

!= means "not equal to".
It's indispensible when working with SDFs, in my humble opinion.
