Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
Is it possible to make the game unwinnable by, for example, killing all five faction leaders? I think I still have some vain hope for an Aodare style ending.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
If you manage to anger both the Shapers and the Rebels, the game immediately cuts to a bad ending. So it's possible to lose, but it's not possible to save your game in an unwinnable state.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Uberdhizon
It is probably possible to do that, but you'd have to kill Rawal, too. As long as even he's alive, it's possible to win. I'm only guessing.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Out of order posting is funny. Thuryl's right. I'm almost positive you can finish the game without joining a faction, but you do need at least one faction to trust you enough to act as your Bob so the plot can move forwards. —Alorael, who still doesn't see why killing everything that moves in western Terrestria isn't a viable ending. He who stands on the biggest pile of corpses and all that.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Jeff has a few autokill nodes placed in key scripts so you can face an ending where they all hunt you down. You've become a potential Monarch and they all agree that there are to be no loose cannons.
Easygoing Eyebeast VCH
So is it possible to win without joining a faction? I almost got stuck near the end game. Ghaldring wouldn't let me join because I didn't fight his drakon friend. I'd purged the purity workshop on my own without the quest to do so (No Taygen). I destroyed the shredbugs on my own (no Litalia) I had a pro rebel reputation, so no Alwan. Astoria was my only option. What if I happened to accidentally kill her? Could I still complete the game? Easygoing Eyebeast *i
If you accidentally kill her, I doubt it could be an accident. If you harm any councilor and you are not part of Ghaldring's faction, the game ends with you being hunted down and killed.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Uberdhizon
Sounds like fun.
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
What!? No power play? That's disappointing, I always enjoy a play through with cheats and being unbeatable. Is anyone savvy enough with scripts to possibly find a way around this? Easygoing Eyebeast *i
It is possible to shift factions, but it would take some serious management of reputation. I don't think anyone has yet done any analysis on how extreme one can shift; in other words, is it possible to join Taygen and then switch to Ghaldring? Hatchling Cockatrice Quiconque
Almost certainly. The factions don't actually require very extreme reputations this time around, plus Leadership can substitute for a certain amount of reputation. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
It's possible if you keep track of your reputation and save up most of the reputation questions that don't affect quests like the servile in Dera Bridge and the guard captain in Minallah so you can get more of a boost from Greta's shift.
