Garrulous Glaahk BrownieMix
Anyone know where this little creature is? I've been searching mine tunnels for awhile, but so far no Pit Crawler-I want my third ingredient! Also, the area with the fire lizards with those little volcano spots guarding that vest sucks a TON. Magnificent Ornk Ephesos
I seem to remember that it's on the way to Lysstak the Beast's lair. Somewhere by the three colored pools. EDIT: And you are completely right about the areas with the calderas. And there are more later on.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
When you get to the area with the red and blue stone ringed pools, there is a spiraling path in the northeast that circles into the pit crawler area. This is the zone north of the elevator. Those lava spewing caldera only get worse. The trick is to have someone with healing spells hang back to heal the rest. Fledgling Fyora meteque
Guys still I have no ideas where to look to the spit crawler... Is it because I've cleared the place up before I got the quest from Lark? Or I missed some tunnels, is there anyone can spot the entrance on the map please? Thanks
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
When you find the rat infested elevator go north. Fight flame spewing bats and move to the northeast. There is a narrow path that spirals around the northeast part of the zone. The pit crawler is hiding in the northeast corner of the area within the spiral. Burgeoning Battle Gamma JP
The pit crawler is hard to find and harder to kill. Its spawns were annoying, but when he decided to move a slaughtered my party. Any idea to defeat it?

Equip your toughest character with the Bonding Knife and as much magic resistance gear as you have. Use him as a human wall while other characters plink at the Pit Crawler from as far away as possible with ranged attacks. At least, that's what worked for me. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Bryce had a good idea to retreat to that narrow entrance to the area and block it with an abysmal worm so the Pit Crawler can't hurt you. I went with a mass madness scroll when it attacked and charmed some of its worms to attack it.
Kyshakk Koan Darkdread
It was a tought battle indeed. I discovered that the pit crawler is immune to fire, acid, poison, cold and smite. Trying to attack him with melee weapons was a bad idea as he rispostes wonderfully and you get poisoned. Also, when I first entered I took care of the worms -because the Pit Crawler does not attack you immediately, he just "watches" I guess. But this was a bad idea, the worms keep coming. Next time (when I reloaded I started attacking him immediately and found that the only way to combat him was with ranged weapons. Javelins and bows rock, especially if your warrios uses a battle discipline before
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
I'm not sure I remember this battle well anymore, but I think that maybe my singleton broke down and used invulnerability potions for this one. I do remember having a couple of good summons going against all those abyssal worms, so probably they chipped in on the beast itself to good effect. I bet slowing was important as well. Burgeoning Battle Gamma JP
Thank you, I will try using missiles and use its spawns to shield my characters from melee.
Kyshakk Koan wxxqut
You are suposed to attack worms.Eventually he will be fed up of watchin and leave his protecting thing so he can be hurt.
Burgeoning Battle Gamma JP
Thank you I got it. I did had have much trouble to retreat to the narrow ledge once the worms appeared, but no problem to deal with the pit crawler himself. It moves very slowly and in fact, it never really approached my party but stayed away, just in range of my missiles.
