Macintosh editor updated.

I just updated the Macintosh version of the editor to v1.1.1. This fix should remove a crash happening with OS X 10.4. If it doesn't help, please drop me a note and I'll try again.

 

For people working on homebrew editors, the change was in the procedure cd_kill_dialog in dlogtool.c.

I'm at 10.3.9, and I'm going to wait until 10.4 has been out for a little while. Most of the upgrades are cosmetic, and new systems can have problems when they are first released.

On another note, does anyone not have support for OpenGL?

 

It appears wxWidgets isn't quite as usefull as I had hoped in the graphical arena, and I am contemplating using OpenGL for this part of the editor.

What version of the 3D editor are you using? I looked at Jeff's/Isaac's code and they are near identical. Either Jeff didn't make the change where he said he did, or either Notus or Isaac made the change already.

I'm using version 1.02b5 which when I looked at source forge seemed to be the latest version. I'm not entirely sure that my problems are related to me upgrading to 10.4 as I seem to be the only one experiencing this trouble.

You might be the first person using the editor and 10.4 together.

 

I don't have a Mac, and as of now it seems safe to say that I'm the only person working with any of the editors' source code, so I may not be able to help too much, but I'll do what I can.

 

Did you get an error message or did it just crash? What were you doing right before it crashed? Did you just hit 'Ok" on a dialog button, and the program crashed? If so, try doing some other things that require a dialog box and tell me if they cause the program to crash too.

Ok I took a look at when the editor crashs. It seems that whenever a dialog box is opened, doing anything that closes it (pressing ok or cancle) causes the program to crash. Upon closing the dialog box, the editor will just suddenly close, and I get a message saying The application 3d blades of avernum editor has unexpectly quit. One of the options from their is a report button which provides me with the following data although I have no idea if its any use.

I think I found the bug, but I can't actually test it, since I don't have a Mac, which means you'll have to help me out. First things first, can you build the code yourself? If not PM me your email address or email me through sourceforge, so I can give you some instructions.
