Burgeoning Battle Gamma

Burgeoning Battle Gamma (7/17)

  1. The third item he wants is the Radiant Prism, IIRC, which was found in the town of Muck behind Landsman's men. You have to steal it before you tell them to leave however, or the item vanishes.
  2. Bah, and here I was thinking my search had turned up no previous posts about the subject.
  3. So I finished the test, but I did manage to find out that if you equip the ceremonial items and then have that character killed off, you can escape with the weapons. Anyone else found this to be the case?
  4. Hmm, it seems that while I did not enjoy what ended up being A4, A5 seems to hold more promise in certain areas than what A4 lacked in the dungeon department. On another note, Kelandon, if it were indeed similar to your Exodus, would that really be such a malady to our experience? I think not, but I am but one among many. Time shall tell.
  5. Heh, I happened to be scrolling through here and noticed this, and I must say, it might force me to open BoA once more to play this once it's finished. Good Luck!
  6. Well, actually, some of us actually are using 10.4, and it rocks. Spotlight and Dashboard to the rescue!
  7. Well, I also find from a personal basis that I play games that also don't allow for cheating to occur without serious effort on the user's end to make it happen. Less chance of it occuring, the more fun it is, which is partly why I still favor Starcraft over all other older games.
  8. If I manage to dredge up my lost scribbles in a word document relating to the beta-testing, I'll be sure to send them right on over. Unfortunately, it has been quite a while, so who knows, I may just have to run through it again.
  9. I thought it is also worth mentioning that if you really want to cheat, this topic is for you: http://www.ironycentral.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=19;t=000052;p=2 Read JadeWolf's post for all the details you'll need.
  10. Since I have yet to purchase Geneforge 3, I have been wondering, and those who have finished the game can answer this for me: On average, how long did it take you to beat the game, and on what difficulty levels? Having beaten the demo in about 3 hours on torment, I am concerned that, while there are indeed five islands to explore, how much more does registering really add in playing time?
  11. Not to shoot down your idea here, but most programmers would prefer to use their own scenario ideas since they have more of an interest in what they are creating. That's not to say that someone won't take you up on your offer, but you are probably better off asking for help on learning how to use the editor to create your own scenario. Either way, here is hoping that you do decide to learn to use the editor and create a good scenario for the community here to enjoy.
  12. That's a pretty much standard thing that can occur in BoA, it happens when statistics reach their maximum, following which, if that statistic is increased again, it will trigger a reset to 0. A better response to this question has already been given here: BoA Win - Doesn\'t like max stats for some reason Read Jay Toader's message for a succinct answer to your question.
  13. Kelandon's wonderful utility is actually a BoA scenario, so put the entire HLPM folder into the Blades of Avernum Scenarios folder, and then take your party and enter the HLPM as if it were any other scenario from the scenario selection screen within the game.

    BoA...

I don't know why its crashing, but I do know that you have to use the import BoE scenario function in the BoA editor to turn it into a readable document for BoA, however, you still have to fix the scenario so that it runs properly(edit terrain and such) and then it is possible to play the scenario with BoA.
  15. As an emulator of MacOS, I know that there was PearPC, however, I think that one of the creators passed away and most of the project was shut down. You can still get a download of it, but I would tell you that the emulation is rather slow, so if you attempt to use it, be ready to wait. You can download the emulator here: http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/ The task of course, would be to find the ROM for MacOS 10.3, but if your really looking for it, it's out there. Unfortunately, this post is more informative than a surefire method to emulate, use at your own risk.
