Garrulous Glaahk Kinsume
These little guys should really be controllable. During most indoors fights my mage and priest are pretty far out of the way of the frontline, so when I summon creatures with them they just stand around doing nothing until they despawn. If I move my mage/priest closer they take a turn or two to finally move up as well. So my question is, is it possible to make them controlled via the player? Aka like the minions in Geneforge series. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Nope. They're mostly good at very low levels anyway; summons don't really keep up with your own party in strength later on. The main use I've found for them is using Summon Spirit to create a shade that can blithely tank the attacks of other shades.
Garrulous Glaahk Kinsume
I see, that sucks. Pity.
Fledgling Fyora Mooraz
I always feel lucky when I get summoned creatures that have ranged or AoE attacks.
Fledgling Fyora Something Sharp
I'm getting a bug where creatures summoned by enemies will "hurry to catch up" when I'm trying to run from fights. This generally results in my gruesome death. Assuming this is a bug?
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Probably, yeah. That's supposed to happen with your own summoned creatures, but it's sort of weird for it to happen with those of enemies.
Hatchling Cockatrice Aoslare
@ Something Sharp: Are you playing on Windows?
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
For what it's worth, I've seen the same thing happen in the Mac version.
Fledgling Fyora Something Sharp
Yup Windows. I'm at the point where I'm strong enough to just about run away from one enemy summon so it's not really a big deal anymore. Just kind of annoying; I've never had it happen before in previous Avernum gamess.
