Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
I still don't understand what kind of power exactly affect the items augmenting curses percent and magic ones. This is due to my not excellent knowledge of English language (and honestly I am not the one who reads game istructions). Nathalie's got magical powers and Jenell curses powers? I.e. when there's a cloak that gives +5% magic and some gloves that give +8% curses which of the two ladies would have a higher benefit from the different items? A side question: there's a skin bracelet that gives 5% more protection versus melee attacks; so does this item not protect as an armor from all other kind of hits? Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
Ok. Didn't understand if the question was badly expressed or else, anyway I don't like to be ignored but obviously it's not a problem of yours. Thanks. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The skin bracelet just works against melee attacks so it isn't as good as regular gauntlets that protect more and work against missile too. Shamans and sorceresses would both benefit from increased magical damage. I'm not sure which would do better with blessings/curses.
Unflappable Drayk Ceiling Durkheim
Bonuses to blessings increase positive status duration, and I think the same applies to curses with negative statuses. It works for all characters, not just shaman/sorceress as the name sort of implies. I'm not sure if it works on items that have blessing/curse effects. Ineffable Wingbolt Superba
Thank you :-) I'm not sure I understood what are the positive and the negative status but it is enough for me to know that the additional powers from curses/magical items are switchable between sorceress and shaman without loosing any benefit. Unflappable Drayk Ceiling Durkheim
Status conditions are those things that show up as icons to the right of your character roster. Positive ones improve attributes and abilities (like war blessing, battle frenzy, haste, etc.) while negative ones weaken them (war curse, ensnare, vulnerability hex, etc.). Unflappable Drayk Death Knight
As curses are concerned, weakness curse and vulnerability curse sound like the same thing. Is there a difference? I couldnt find them in the manual.
Easygoing Eyebeast *i
If memory serves, I believe one reduces the attack power and hence damage the target deals while the other reduces the defensive ability and therefore increases the damage the target takes. Unflappable Drayk Death Knight
Hmm..wait what about war curse? Isnt weakness curse the one where you deal more physical damage and vulnerable curse is where you deal more magic damage, but war curse just lowers the enemies chance to hit and damage? If anyone can confirm id like to know, thanks.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
You've pretty much got it right. War curse reduces the damage you inflict. Weakness curse increases the damage you receive from physical attacks. Vulnerability curse increases the damage you receive from magical attacks. You can learn all of this by mousing over the little icons that appear beside your portrait when you're afflicted with any of those statuses. Easygoing Eyebeast *i
Der. Always get war curse and weakness curse mixed up.
