Ineffable Wingbolt Superba Posted May 23, 2011 Share Posted May 23, 2011 There's a dialogue early in the game when you are told that scarabs take from you as much as they give, letting understand they are dangerous or at least they might be so. Also, the eye stationed up in Vebreaux gave me a scarab as a reward, and her comment on the matter was something along the lines of the side effects of the scarab becoming too much for her as she grew older.
