Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
All unicorns are octarine. I'm pretty confident this is true, on empirical grounds, because I have observed an awful lot of things that are not octarine, and none of them has ever been a unicorn. Easygoing Eyebeast Dintiradan
I'm pretty sure unicorns only come in pink.
Easygoing Eyebeast Triumph
No, unicorns are white. At least, normal ones are, because of all the cotton they eat. That's what part what defeated the South in the U.S. Civil War: the Union unleashed unicorns that ate all the Southern cotton crops.
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
By this reasoning boll weevils should be white, but they are not.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
Unicorns are pink, but only the Invisible Pink Unicorn is, well, pink and invisible. —Alorael, who can see through the flaws in SoT's analysis with ease. Fortunately, he did a similar survey of unicorns, not non-unicorns, and can report that every unicorn he observed was pink.
Easygoing Eyebeast Triumph
What about the anti-matter unicorns?
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
Unicorns are shy. Surveys make them blush. You have to correct for this.
Magnificent Ornk Swimmin' Salmon
Would it be too hasty to conclude that anti-matter unicorns don't matter?
Well-Actually War Trall A less presumptuous name.
Yes, the don't matter to the point of annihilating those unicorns that actually do matter.
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
Which would explain the rarity of unicorns and antiunicorns. The only problem here is that, if we assume a unicorn to weigh several hundred pounds, then annihilation of a unicorn and an anti-unicorn will release about 10^20 Joules of energy. That's about 20,000 megatons. The largest H-bomb yet detonated was around 50 megatons, and that was a pretty big blast. Its mushroom cloud punched right through the stratosphere into the mesosphere, and its shock waves that were still registering on seismographs on their third pass around the earth. Figure 400 of those babies going off at once.
Kyshakk Koan Monroe
You're assuming unicorns are made out of meat, like horses. If they're made out of clouds or pure happiness, which is more likely, they probably weigh significantly less. They are less dense than air, at the very least, since they do fly.
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
No, they're made of meat, all right. Them's good eatin', too. If they were less dense than air, they'd have trouble standing in a breeze, or even coming down to earth to prance around, which is pretty much the entire basis of the unicorn economy. Unicorns fly by magic. Everyone knows that.
Magnificent Ornk Swimmin' Salmon
Yeah, no one is arguing that unicorns aren't dense. I mean, they fall for that "virgin" line every time.
Magnificent Ornk Ephesos
I thought everything was made of meat. Or worth its weight in meat. Or something like that. (been playing too much KoL)
Magnificent Ornk Student of Trinity
Can you buy meat with meat in KoL? If so, any chance for agio?
