Basically, Avernum 4 gets a 'Encountered an error, have to close this program' window everytime it saves, including quicksave/autosave. Would anyone know why this might be happening? And no, I've reinstalled, I don't have any viruses, and I have alot of free diskspace and my processor has plenty of room for it. Understated Ur-Drakon Earth Posted January 29, 2010 Share Posted January 29, 2010 1. move your savegames elsewhere and try save to see if still crashes. 2. if no crashes then savefiles have got damaged. 3. if crashes then some gamefile is damaged so uninstall, delete avernum-folder and then reinstall game. do you get any error codes when saving crashes avernum?
