Fledgling Fyora GuardianBlackcloud
I'm backing up certain files onto a flash drive to take with me, as I'm enlisting in the military. I'd like to take only the data from geneforge 4 but not the whole game (it won't fit on my flash drive). But when I look for it can't find it. I already got those for G1,2,3. Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
Maybe go into your hardrive, or just search from somewhere else. If all you want are the save files, then they are inside a file near the applacation, and not really hidden.
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
Are you running the Mac or Windows version? The registration and saved game data is stored in different places for each.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
For Windows, the registration data is saved in the "Geneforge 4\Data" folder, and your saved games are in My Documents in the "Geneforge 4 Saved Games" folder. I don't know the locations for Mac.
Understated Ur-Drakon Tyranicus
I know this doesn't answer your question, but perhaps you should get a bigger flash drive. Geneforge 4 takes up less than 100MB on my computer. High capacity flash drives are really cheap these days. I just bought a 16GB drive for $30 two weeks ago. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Use a compression or archive program to reduce the folder size before transferring to the flash drive can make a big difference if you aren't accessing the data directly from the flash drive. The save game files can easily be compressed to a .zip file about a tenth the original size.
