Easygoing Eyebeast Jerakeen
A quick scan of the forum has not answered this one (and I'm trying to avoid too many spoilers): will the Loyalists in the Howling Depths respawn endlessly? They are no threat to me so far, but I'm really getting bored with destroying an apparently infinite number of archers and bats and whatnot. If there really were that many of them, they'd have a much better shot at me if they came all at once instead of in small groups--as it is, I pretty much make up what power I used with First Aid after each skirmish. So all I need to know is whether there's any point in trying to kill them all, or should I just keep moving? Thanks.
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Keep moving. They'll never end. The Last Archon
Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
But you still want to kill them so there isn't a huge group that gangs up on you. And they can get quite annoying when you go farther into other battles. Imagine battling the guy at the end with 20 loyalists behind you. Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Actually, I believe that the rest of the Loyalists stop just short of the fight, so all you have to fight is the last dude(s) The Last Archon
Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
But if you ignored the loyalists, they will still follow you there.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
There is a point where no more are generated. This occurs just before the final fight so you have time to kill the stragglers and prepare yourself. The Darkside Loyalists that are endlessly spawned to pursue you don't give experience or count towards first aid.
Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
Which really stinks. But then again, I guess that is to prevent people from exploiting infinite experience.

Yeah, I noticed that when I went back to my game. So they'd wear you down eventually. Will I ever be able to get back there? Because I bypassed the shade or whatever it was in the tiered area. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
Once you finish the run you can go back but there will be a seemingly endless supply of Darkside Loyalist Archers at the gate. They are gone once you go down river to Highground. But take some time before you hit the first rapids and explore.

That undead monster is just another boss at A5 Howling Depths-area but has some good stuff and experience, same thing with that unstable mass's cave. Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
I really hated those things... It always took me quite a while until I was able to defeat them. And every one I met was more difficult. EDIT: 300th post!
