  1. lol guys i just left an idea to turn questing more easy than have a side paper note. some inicial quests like investigating places only leave a text box at that given time that is closed imidiatly by most beginers and can be stuck runing around trying to complete it. u can look at the special items inventory for some more info on items ur colecting but if it can be simplified then i dont see no point in not to. that is just an idea, nothing more nothing less edit: PS: yes i used a lot of paper during exile games. im gratfull for something that actualy says the quests u have
  2. an idea about the quest jornal. when u have to colect objects to complete a quest they should apear in it box, like 3/6 chitrach slain. 1/1 erratic sentinel slain. 15/20 sheet of paper. or at least something that says it is completed.w
  3. the only friendly zombie is a completly dead one its against their narute to be friendly. except for the ghouls in fallout2
  4. in E2 u face him twice, 1 on the vahnatai lands on the zigurate (if im not mistaken) and 2 on his fortress. 1ºtime yes indeed i was lead by the "he is enchanted to the bone with several magic resistent auras and only solberg knows how to kill him" (or something like that) and solberg tells u that he is vulnerable, not weak, in mindduel, so i spamed minduel on him after geting the ring(but think its not necessary) 2ºtime, antimagic field and simulacrum (indeed a nice spell) of mung deamon ftw. didnt even know if he was hard to kill. the hard part was to enter the room full of demons with party at 1hp life (antimagic field ftw again).
  5. im still at the shades moref (or whats his name) but completed the workshop, it just didnt feel good to leave with it alive...but after many trys i gave it a rest, playing other games now. but yeah the main objectives can be completed, u just need to come back for some optional/loot quests and zones.
  6. well i only did garzahd in E2 so basicly i antimagic fielded the entrance of the room step in 1 by 1 and mass heal then simulacred mung deamon who created more antimagic fields, basicly no moster used spells and mung deamon(s) poisoned them all and garzah didnt even throw a spell...
  7. u guys forget something, dorikas "mysterious" death. remember that u have 2 possible outcome for his death, 1-u give him a soldier death (much like what u see in the gladiator movie) and 2-another where he "burns" himself. either way there apears a letter in the throne that wasnt there when u left, that said (not literaly) that this fortress was his ultimate gift, this "his" refers to whom? who put the letter there? isnt this a litle strange that the letter apear there after ruth, dorikas and any major char were dead?
  8. havent u talked to all of them? there was also the one who was raising the baby spiders that in turn were always trying to eat her (baby spider instinct)

  10. humor? humor u say!?!? well was preaty funny when the talking chitrash said she wasnt going to speak with me...for 5mins lol´ when u arrive at the talking spiders, they all start to gather to fight u while u are amased to find talking spiders then after a while they get bored of u not ataking and get back to their duties. but my best laught was when u ask a talking spider who was trying to become an aranea (magic spider user), named spider (like all of them), to teach u spells, it goes something like this: spider:ok,jump in the air. party:*party jumps in the air* spider:say, arrrrr!!! party:arrrrr!!!! spider:louder!!! party:AAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! spider:good, know u just need to throw lightning from ur hands, thats the hard part, when u figure it out let me know pls. ->priceless moment of rolling on the floor laught

You just back up and heal whenever those lightning attacks do too much. thats the bug im talking about 100% sucess. yeah the trick is to move right at him for at least 2 sentinels stay at his side to prevent them to attack each other instead of the prime and take the blows there.

  13. o.O how u "acidentaly" killed him? in exile2 the editor had the option to bring major NPCs back to life (so many times motrax droped dead insearch for good items) but dont think in avernum there is any way :S
  14. turn all ur chars into devine touched -> lots of blademaster, magery, sharpshooter as bonus as u gain levels (1 point every 6 or 8 lvls, dont remember right or if im confusing with racial bonus, some1 correct me pls), u start with 1 point on each melee turn into elite warrior->+2parry +2batlemaster archer into deadeye -> +2 on sharpshooter at start mage into natural mage->+2mage +1magical eficiency priests into pure spirit->+2priest +2magical eficiency all the above skills give 1 point every bonus lvl all chars will start with these basic bonus, plus what u spent skill points on melee 2parry 3blademaster (double bonus casue each trait gives 1 point) 1magery 1sharpshooter archer 1blademaster 1magery 3sharpshooter (double bonus) mage 2mage 1blademaster 1magery 1magical eficiency 1sharpshooter priest mage 2priest 1blademaster 2magical eficiency 1magery 1sharpshooter with this as u gain lvls u will get bonus, this represents skills where u dont need to spend points or will cost less to lvl (the point recieved from lvl bonus doesnt raise its skill points cost) also pick racial chars with folowing bonus each 8lvls (yes each 8lvls) and points goten with bonus lvls will count for batle skills but the ones at creation dont. slith: +2 pole at start up plus 1 every 8 lvls nephilin: +1 bow +1 thrown (with bonus of 1 point on both every 8lvls) i also advise u to start with no char with nature lore and as soon as u reach the rapids to go all the way down to harkins landing and train buy 3 points for 1 char from the priestess there, they will not raise skillpoints needed to lvl skill and let train only 4 more to get the rat to help in the fight at lystak the beast (7 NL needed to tame the rat) also train only 1 weapon skill and leave the others at 0 until u reach tranquility so u can buy 3 points on each wich will help with batle skills. quick action isnt much good but start with 2 points on it so u can have the 1ºturn on most of the fights instead of geting hammered without having any chance to react. if ur going to train ur party in arcane lore buy 3/4 in each char instead of having 1 staking it, also check wich books teach what, where they and AL needed to read them so u dont spend gold on a trainer when u could got it with AL. there might be something more i could advise but dont remember right now, u need to get a game to the end to know whats good and when its good. have fun playing
  15. the first time i ended the game i did everything to piss off dorikas killed every messenger he sent me, rute, both dwervish... i was a true servant of the empress prazac. and yes i killed every1 before dorikas without knowing dorikas fight just to search for loot and extra exp and not cause i knew that he would run away.
  16. dual weild wont be back cause it would turn pole useless, u already got assassination but with a diferent name. my favorite game still remains exile2, but think on the vast number of enemies u had to fight each batle with a party of 6. a party of 4 restricts options but also improves ur tactic to play the game with only 4. if they went back and use 6 then they would have to raise the monsters numbers leading to huge problems due to the fact that there is no more in/out like in exile where each doungeon and outdoor batle was taken into another "room". it still sucks the raise of point skills needed per lvl but that also forces u to take more logic solutions like just buying 3/4 lvls of arcane lore in each char instead of having 1 with 16. 1 thing i would like to see fixed, having 1sword and 1 shield doesnt mitigate a lote of dmg unless under various melee atacks (and in this case ur char proly wouldnt survive), i for 1 only used them on casters for stats, my melee always wear poles. maybe given a more %of armor or something more substational like block change and this would leade to a trait "shield bearer" wich could give 1 rispote every 8lvls or everytime u block ur foe gets of balance and ur next melee cause double dmg (like a critical hit). this would give some more use and give a logical use of swords and shields. i might be failing to see or understand how good a shield and be completely wrong on what i said but the idea of given shiels a more relevant and better role on fights still remains

  19. after registration dont delete the files in ur saves folder or the game wont run as registered and u will need to register again. i did this once, for my luck the folder was still in the recycle. other than what was already said dont see nothing more.

  21. well i killed all the guards except the temple defender without they hiting me (rain of ice for the win ). i knew i wouldnt had much luck, just went to see how much hard it is in torment i have spent 1 hour dieing at 2ºturn vs the prime sentinel... then i found a bug in that fight and now i can easily kill him 100% of the times and without efford, without exploiting the bug im clueless on how to kill him :S also did the 2 tests of tiacora, after many atempts, is amasing the high dmg per turn u need to put out, eventualy it got to a basys of sumon the right creatures and maximising dmg. i also used the editor to change the traits of my char from DT/EW to DT/NM, sence im not going for the hight parry rate the skillpoints u save on mage is way to good.
  22. Lysstak is dead. lower Khora-Vyss is clean. Anemona is still locked up cause i still have the damaged pylon and the claim check quests to do. will release her after clearing some thrash at upper khora-vyss. crystal cave in northen islands is clean. my stats before entering tranquiliy: skill value Z=(X "char stats" + y "gear bonus") lvl:24 skillpoints: 50 HP:102 energy:161 (186 with gridle of insight) str:2 dex:4 int:6 stm:4 pole:8 quick action:3 mage:9 priest:4 (3+1) AL:0 spellcraft:5 (4+1) hardiness:4 (3+1) tool use:8 or 10 (8+2) with tinker's gloves NL:7 luck:1 (0+1) parry:5 blademaster:12 magery:10 magical eficiency:6 (4+2) sharpshooter:7 got in bags: girdle of insight, bonding knife, radiant shortblade, silken shield and tinker's gloves AL and NL map so far: red: NL at ground level yellow: NL not at ground lvl green: AL going to do a few tries at upper khora-vyss to clear some trash. also pretending to look for the statue anemona talks about then release her.
  23. havent had much time to play but finished demo and northren rapids except for the crystal cave (saving fire res gear) and the archer dude at the trial (got the cloak from the undead so i dont need his, also he is a pain). these are my stats atm, the +X values are from gear, also got bonding knife and girgle of stm in bag when needed, and acid/poison res gear. lvl:18 skillpoints:26 HP:86 energy:144 str:2 dex:4+1 int:6+1 stm:4 pole:7 quick action:3 (2+1from quest) mage:9 priest:3 AL:0 spellcraft:1+1 tool use:7 NL:3 (bought 3 at harkin's landing, 1650gold total) parry:4 BM:9 gym:0+1 magery:5 spell efficiency:3+1 (bought 3, gogo gold saving...) sharpshooter:5 also im creating a map for the AL and NL spots i already found (only the ones reacheable at current level) red: NL at ground level yellow: NL not at ground lvl green: AL will be completing it as i move on.
  24. i also advise starting a new game with both chars. or u could start a new game in an easier mode and get some experience on the singleton fights, what to use, what to level, what to buy from trainers(skills and spells) and specialy what not to level or buy from trainers. like only 1 level of each spell. also if u die by being overrun with monsters u can enter combat mode when entering a zone u know there are enemies, and move square by square until u see 1, get at max range and cast acid (for example) then move back, this way u will pull that enemie and prevent (95% of the times) that others will help him. thus killing one by one. if he cant came to u (spiting plants for ex) cast acid, take the hit, move back and keep passing turns out of range until they die from acid (very usefull vs archers in ambushs).
