According to a walkthrough Darkstone Core has a mind in need of feeding as well.

Feeding the testing mind on the first island. I dont think there is any other Nurtrients then that first one.

Exile/avernum was fairly good about that, but avernum itself changed from one game to the next.

I go with battle magic then try and go for cure magic, forgetting I can only chose one. It seems a bit of a step down from g3 where you got the entire library, small as it is, for completing the test.

Its a close call between the vlish and the control tool.

I dont remeber telling you who I was, let alone on day one. Someone might have traded my role around but the only thing I could have done about that was to give up my only aid: information, and that wasnt even very helpful.

My role as pure spirit was weak. I had no good powers and I had to take down the darksiders. The few allies I managed to find wernt very strong either. My immunity to the wand of death would have been helpful if anyone felt the need to waste one of the games most powerful objects on me.

I think There is more then 3 but I cant check that as g5 doesnt work on any of my computers that are working right now. Just look around the room and see if you can find any more and try some conversation options.

The presence travels from zone to zone in most of the foundery. It travels about 3 or 4 times. Click to reveal.. There is a geneforge near the last one. After you use it and destroy the presence beast near it try going back and see if the shaper ( I cant remember his name ) will end the quest. the scrying crystal will tell you when your in the right zone.

I havent played Avernum 1 in awhile but im fairly sure its either 80 or 100.

Script editing can do it, and programs like resedit can do it aswell. Not sure why you would want to other then something like turning a clawbug picture into a ornk.

Others might be better at reading your post, it might be me. But if you want tech support it would be a good idea to make it so people can eaiser to read.

People beat these games with no guides whatsoever a fair bit. All I was saying was that to get through a hard area or problem you could have asked or looked in one of the guides. Easy is there for people who are begginers in the game. And planning for the future, yes thats what most people do. Its recomended for pretty much all kinds of games. Is it realy too much to spend 2 minutes to figure out what kind of strengths your pcs will have while going through the game?

Well, I cant help you with the fight itself haveing not gotten there in my game. But as for the stats being broken, I realy dont think so. 1: you could try lowering the dificutly level. 2: yes it does sound like you could have built your guys better. But there are guides here on the forums. 3: haveing a no magic user in your party isnt that bad if you plan for it. the anama are very good for non-magic partys. 4: the games starts with preset guys that are winnable in. 5: if you needed help in a section you could post on here. Lots of people here would be willing to help you. Oh and there is no path of perfection.

Go into the folder scrips and change the text files. I dont know much about it beyond that. It has something to do with give_reward fuction.

I am fairly sure Sdf's are to activate things that are in the game to begin with. You would want script editing over sdfs. Edit: randomizer finished first.

You could ( if its the same game code more or less as g3) change the name,picture and stats of the ur-drakon to match an unbound. There should be a text file in the scripts that has all of the charatar types in it. Its called something like "g5charitems".

I started with A3 and then mass downloaded all the spiderweb demos my computer could use. After finishing A1-3 I went to g1-3 on cds. then a4. I am planing to get Boa,A5,G4, and nethergate:r with some newfound money. If you have bought a5, I suggest either a1 or a2 then go from there finishing the avernum series. A1 would go from the start but its not as good a game as a2. A3 isnt a bad idea but its not as good (though close) as a2 and it doesnt have the orgins feeling to it.

Facebook has never worked well for me but recent upgrades put it beyond something on my computer. I am currently useing a mac os 10.3.9 laptop.

No it, as i understand it, will never come out. Many discutions have been had over BoG but they all come up as no. I wouldnt mind seeing it, but I dont think it will happen.

Some time after I depleted all of the KB from the anama I left them and started training in magic. I did this because I was getting really beaten on by golums. When I finaly reached the mind crystal leading the golums, I killed its defenders and started to attack it. After about 5 minutes of trying every spell and poition I had I relised it wasnt going to die. The only things that affected it were my sword and cloud of blades. I couldnt keep cloud of blades going long enough so I ran up, hasten/blessed myself and starting hitting it. When it got to nearly dead( after alot of attacks and potions) it just healed it self. I repeated the attacks and it healed again. Is this a glitch or am I just out of options? Edit:got it with lightning spray
