Which is why I advocate the Servile over the Infiltrator. The Servile has no worries what so ever if he runs out of energy mid battle. He can just stand there and take it while his energy builds back up.
If Jeff made a sword that stole energy and essence with each hit, the Servile would become God.

Battle magic is lovely, but there is something strangely satisfying about cranking out mental magic, stunning, dazing, confusing, and charming everything around you, and then carefully blowing your enemies to smithereens with a reaper baton.
Just feels good!

No more negative Vlishy talk!

Either way, this is a pointless debate. Vlish are the superior life forms. If you disagree, it's because they're manipulating your mind for their amusement. -
It should be noted that Shaper brains are delicious too. Not a walnut sized snack like Drakon brains, but more of a meal.
Canister crazy brains do taste a little funny though. And something about the canister process makes the brain chewy and spongey, almost as if part of it had died off.
I bet Tully's brain would be like eating string cheese.

Drakons... Big arrogant lizards.
With tiny bite sized brains. Mmm brains.
-
When something attacks you, it gets poked.
-
And why do you think that?
Do you really believe that the Shapers would be so stupid as to do something this incredibly foolhardy?
Do you actually believe they are careless enough to leave a weapon of such incredible power out for somebody to find, and possibly use it against them?
My tentacles hurt.

Not unplayable...
Worthless. Sub-optimal. Poorly executed. Badly done. Could have been more and failed utterly.
Warrior is pretty much the same.
That said, the classes are very different from their creations. Things like plated bugs and clawbugs can be very, very strong in the hands of the right player. As strong as wingbolts in the hands of the same player? No. But for tactical bliss, you can create an army of bugs and absolutely steamroll the game if you should choose to do so. Betas and alphas have their place. Using the battle creations makes for a totally different game. A different play style. More of a blitzkrieg.
Having a punching, bashing, pincing goonsquad is just a lot of fun.

Having played through the game using nothing but battle creations, I find this whole thread amusing.
To be completely honest, they are not all that bad. They have a fun role playing theme. And with the right character, like say, the warrior, it is great fun to lead your patrol of alphas in to battle.

This post is going no where.
I say we end it and move on to more produdive subjects.

Any more |337 speak or bad spelling and I will use my super squishy Vlishy powers on this thread. Really. This is bloody awful. Clean this up. Have some respect for others reading.

I find this conversation amusing.
Oh, and I never left. I was lurking.

It is a very bad idea to go around typing in ALL CAPS round these parts.
Please be aware of this in the future.
Thank you.

The worst ending would be...
A virus created, a sickness, that infects people and takes away their ability to shape.
And suddenly, the world is normal again.

I'd like to see the very last Geneforge game play out like Nethergate.
You could play either as a Shaper or a Rebel... Two very different games. Not a choice as you go, but the choice already made from when and WHERE you start.
That way you could see both sides of the story.
The ending?
Dunno. Jeff has sold a brazillion games and I haven't, so I think he'll manage to figure out the ending on his own.

One shudders to think what Augmentation would do to your hit points.

Vlish don't have ears.
We either listen with our minds or pick up vibrations with our central tentacle.

You must first find the Xian Skull...

Charged Vlish...
The Black and Decker Vlishy Squisher. Plugs in to any pylon for easy recharging.

I seem to recall some text stating that they had tried to waylay an apprentice previous to you in Geneforge. I could be wrong, it has been a long time.
Where will G5 be?
in Geneforge Series - Originals

Or... You find out one of the original Shapers from the island isn't dead, but is alive and well and manipulating the Shaper Council to weaken their position, at the same time controlling the rebelion to satisfy their whims.
You also find out that he or she is working as an ally for the true superiour life forms, the Vlish.
