Actually, the vanatai are supposivly the shapers. The Avernum games are farther in time then the Geneforge games. Also, probably the reason why the Empire kills magical creatures is because they in the past attacked the creations that evolved to the creatures of the Avernum time.(gazers/eyebeasts being the only exception) I have other guesses.

If Erika didn't cause the war, the Avernites wouldn't be able to return to the surface.

You can kill the leader of the Obeyers without getting in troble. And with the key you can unlock many things, while still being pro Awakened/Taker. And if you kill the leader of the Awakened(I did) while being Awakened, then you can join the Takers, making many areas a lot easier.

Well in Geneforge 3 you can use the editor that is on the sign in South End to max out your skills while being low level, but without cheat would be hard.

I would have every spell in all of the spiderweb games, so I could blow up people I didn't like and get away with it.

When you go back to play again, you are more experianced, so if you stick to your party combination, you should build it better. I just go human sword warrier, slith spear warrier, nephil archer, and human mage-priest-archer. My mage is archer so that if you accidently click on an ememy with no spell equiped, that frail dude will go and die.

You have to go to the room of the alien slime and go to the north wall. There is a secret entrance to Erika's symbol. When you get the symbol, go to Fort Emergence and talk to the guy to demands evidense(in the room west of the tree.

There is an easter egg for Avernum 2 and 3, but what about Avernum 1?

But then why is all that automap of Abyss, from far sight, availible? That doesn't make any sense. And if someone could somehow cheat their way into the Abyss or other Empire place, tell me if it is a trick or place please.

Once I got a little ways into the game, I knew it was the vanatai. Though I think I knew before I started playing. Did anyone else guess?

I meant get to the OTHER part of the Abyss. And what I mean by other places is other places of the Empire region (and I have beaten that game)

How do I get to the Abyss and other places in Avernum2? My brother said it was possible because he remembered being in that part. Does anyone know how?

My first topic! I have been behing blackcrag in Exile 3, and what it is like back there... ...if you pass into the "black" part you keep going and eventuall pop out in another part of Valorim. Unfortunatly, I don't know how I got there Edit -Was I really that much of a newb when I was first here?
