On the Avernum RP: I could have written up a stellar conclusion for that thing. First off, the Rakshashi were gone already, so they were no longer an issue. It would have ended with my Lady Calpurnia taking her rightful place as Empress of the Empire. Calpurnia the Exile, the only Imperial ruler ever to have been an Avernum resident herself at one point. She would have made Nioca's character as the High Priest of the new state religion, Dintiradan's character the new Arch-Mage of a more magic friendly Empire, and Nikki's character would have become her Prince-Consort and father to the new line of rulers. In Avernum, her son Edward would have become King Edward the Cruel of Avernum, and the old king would end up in Alec's Abyss, probably. Angelo would have been killed trying to negotiate with the Hunters, which would have sparked a massive war between them and the new Empire that would have eliminated them eventually. Damn, wish that thread wasn't gone. I would have loved to go into detail and make cool pictures to go along with some of those events. Alas. -Emperor Tullegolar I'm interested shoot a few ideas at me. I'm not necessarily inserted in a happy ending for Terristra (not saying the Overlord has to win though)
  4. ET says he not quite off his faction just yet I will wait just a bit my self give it some time to think it over. I find it interesting that the only ways you mention of my faction dying is from within. edit I much rather just continue this rpg
  5. I'm not sure how I want to end the overlord.
  6. If I get the guts to I might wright a bit more about the Overlord. More of an origin thing. As far as to how the overlord ends I say 50/50 chance of him conquering terristra but even if he fell the survivors would be hard press to eradicate the invasive species he planted.
  7. I for the record was the last one to post so if your calling me inactive...

    PETA

When it comes to animal rights activism, I find that their many organizations that are worth my time and money. PETA is not.
  9. What is going through congress right now isn't health care reform its a steaming pile of bureaucracy designed to get more votes under the guise of health care reform.
  10. Or we could find/make other environments for us to grow into. Not that I would know but it looks pretty good
  11. Its been ages since I have played geneforge 1 and I have absolutely no idea what your talking about. Hopefully (and likely) someone around here knows more then I and is willing to help.
  12. He certainly taking a good long time to get around to it.
  13. just remember sucia island is off limits
  14. you'll have to be creative as to how to weasel in your faction but I don't see why not
  15. Deep in the Warrens beneath dhonal's isle was a library, but not very big library, and in it was a ancient servant mind deep in thought. It was clearly ancient even by their standards, its skin wrinkled and splotched, its eyes milk white and blind. He had also grown hard of hearing. It was the Servant mind 1, the only servant mind or creation for that matter in the overlord's employ that wasn't made by him, directly or indirectly. Of course he had a name other then Servant mind 1 and The Overlord had a name other then The Overlord. Neither however had been used in centuries. It was doubtful the overlord remembered his own name. Despite the careful planning of the servants mines and their painstaking repairs, a bad canister combination had damaged the Overlord's memory. They were fortunate enough to keep his skills and the essence of who he was, his memory before his recovery is in pieces. He remembers what he learned on Sucia Island, being denied the geneforge, and his hatred of the shapers, that fact that he is a shaper, but little else. The very room he sat contained what little literature they had been able to smuggle from Sucia Island. A shrine to the life the Overlord left behind as it had no other use to the Overlord. The overlord had little use for books, or Servant mind 1 for that matter, as everything now was stored in the memory of servant minds specially designed for such things everything in these books were memorized by a least half a dozen servant minds in the base. Between old age and being antique had been of little use to the overlord. He couldn't keep up with the younger servant minds who were developed with far superior skill. Still it was he who nudged the overlord into rebelling against the shapers it was he who pointed the overlord to greatness. With his pondering finished Grelt smiled and then expired. A couple of hours later a two serviles came in and picked him up and carried him down to levels and threw him into a essence extractor destroying the last memory of the Overlord's true name. ----------------------------------------------------- Servant mind 178 was busy had scryed many things. There also several areas that had resisted the scrying attempts they were all marked as fairly important. Most of them were the know headquarters or research labs of major factions. The biggest of which was island in the inland sea. His latest failure at scrying was the newly found caverns in the Mera fens. Although even with his failure to penetrate he could still find its dimensions. He relayed this to rest of the mind beacon. Eventually it would get to blimps responsible for dealing with it. ------------------------------------------------------- Small group of starving serviles an humans were holding out in a cave. They are all refugees from the various village, towns, and cities now layed to waste. Even a Drakon hid among them only desperation kept them from trying to destroy each other. The strange weed had grown over the cave entrance hiding them. Or so they had thought. As vlish blimp passd over them. It pauses and casts a minor scrying spell and then unleashes a torrent of spell fire collapsing the cave upon them. The servant mind cast another scrying spell, satisfied everything had been eliminated it continued on. ---------------------------------------------------------- Servant mind 64 sat in in his tray concentrating on staying in contact and with the warrens, and ignoring slurping noises from the Overlord. He just got a report on the trade documents they had uncovered. The amount of puresteel Jarkirass had was collecting indicated a large number canisters, research and possibly a geneforge. Scrying helped verify that a geneforge was somewhere in his territory but they still needed to narrow down the locations. Of course any geneforge found would need to be altered. They have know how to make one, they either didn't have the resources, had to figure how to make it compatible for the overlord, or didn't have enough resources. Needless to say all the servant minds agreed it was best to avoid mention geneforges. If they found one they be most likely not to tell the overlord, disassemble it, and use it to make one specially designed for the overlord. None of them want to have to repair the Overlord again.
  16. yes but the shaper empire hunts you down in the wilderness and we know that the shaper empire eventually spreads to most of terristra in both endings you will eventually come into full confrontation with shaper empire its only stressed more in G2
  17. in geneforge 2 the area the barzhalites hold was consider a black water it wasn't exactly set up right next to shaper citadel either.
  18. I have to disagree in genforge 2 you manage to hold off the shaper empire with the help of the Barzhalites in Geneforge 1 you can do all by your lonesome.
  19. My favorite moment was the power rush of useing the geneforge in geneforge 1 and then ending it gave were your rage unlocks its true power.
  20. New years is still a couple hours away for me when I turn 21.
  21. I prodded him when I first announced my intentions for mera, got no response. I then prodded him with notification of my intentions to war with his faction and why, all I got was some mumblings about him posting soon. I feel I have made plenty of overtures of cooperation on this. If he wants to work me on this I welcome it but he needs to show some life.
