  1. If you think his grammar is bad I'm surprised y'all haven't kicked me out of the RP yet.
  2. The overlord was observing Pentil through the eyes of his Vlish blimp hovering above a recently made clearing. The only defenses this city has were the recently made turrets of the ESC. Who took all their creations when they fled. The vlish bombarded them from out of range with aid of gravity. The most vlish blimps maintained a perimeter around the city killing all those who tried to slip past the creations now filling into the city. Flying dryaks and cryodryaks flitted between the vlish blimps occasionally swooping down and carrying off a screaming servile or human into the darkness of the night. A few ventured into the city as to better observe and direct the army. As well as provide fire support against the town militia. The quickly gather what few canister were left. The ESC was sure to use or take most of them with them, when they left. After the army has scoured the area for any canister or shaping research, and their wasn't much, they filled out of the city and the vlish blimps moved in slowly. They bashed and blasted until the entire city was reduced to rubble, the sewer networks and any other underground networks collapsed. Vlish blimps landed and started placing the fungus that grew into spawners unto the ground. In the Overlord's blimp high above the city. Overlord "Report" Servantmind 64 "The city has been razed the ground we 14 canisters, some minor alchemical research, and outdated trade documents concerning pure steel and crystal caravans." Overlord " The rest of this province as likely to be fruitless? Servantmind 64 "Yes my lord." Overlord in "Designate a third of the fleet to placing spawners and super kudzu in strategic places. The rest of the fleet will head to Gorash-Uss. We will raze them to the ground and then continue on to Kaz. Ensure no own finds this province inhabitable." The Overlord paused and sipped another canister. The overlord spoke again "What about the 5 we sent to distribute super kudzu and Burwood?" Servan mind 64 "They are finished. Two are enroute to the home isles. Three are meeting up with the vlish sub prototypes near Poryphera too raid shipping, scout out the area, and monitor the subs abilities. After a couple of a days of ensuring the spawners were properly set up. during this time the carrier variants arrived and resupplied the fleet with essences, reaper thorns, various war supplies, and food. After this, two-thirds of the fleet headed for Gorash-Uss while the last third split up into groups of two and spread out across the province.
  3. Good post Dantius just clarify they would not be headed directly over a Poryphera at best you might get three passing near it (say 20 mile radius or so). I'll post something tonight.
  4. I'm kinda of still waiting for dantius to either post something concerning my blimps or enter some kinda of constructive dialog with me. I can only wait so long As far as sleep dragon's forces democratic governments are very tricky to put together. We can put something in it to the effect that individual governors didn't want to surrender their power to a central authority and ineffectively squabble among themselves until someone comes along and eats them.

  6. the minds in question are not as of yet badly damaged, their in the field and are currently control nothing but the vlish blimp they were grafted into, and to my knowledge no super uber mind reading device is present. They have been making some attempt at stealth (as much as a large red blimp can) finding all 5 I sent, responding in time and taking control of them without me noticing is unlikely. Also my faction has an uber mind reading device and its very bulky and can't be moved out my base on dhonal island. Simply put its much easier to destroy them then it is to take over their mind. If one comes with in spitting distance of army of gazers I would concede the point but I also find it unlikely that someone would respond to scared ramblings of a servile farmer by sending the bulk of ones army, small scouting/quick response team maybe.
  7. I think a good question is How do we decided when does program deserve rights and what said rights should be? Personally I rather not make artificial intelligences until those two questions can be answered although I doubt we will wait.
  8. How about the incident in geneforge 3 where a servant mind was captured brought to a rebel facility that had 4-5 gazer/eyebeasts, several drakons, rouge shapers and countless drayks. (one of the eyebeast if I remember correctly specialized in reading the minds of creations) yet they could not break its will despite having every advantage including time. Also this particular servant mind has been grafted into a 70 pound vlish brain of psionic goodness. The only incident I can think of where a servant mind in geneforge 3 that had been taken under control was starved half to death and was hibernating and their were certain clues (such as the drayk getting real pissed if you broke its control) that it took it a very very long time to do and not necessarily a viable tactic when its capable of slapping you with a very large tentacle
  9. Me and Dantius have a slight disagreement as to whether or not gazers/eyebeast could take over a servant mind with ease. I'm waiting for this to be resolved before I post.
  10. The US simply doesn't have the money to keep waging wars like this. Very soon the world will for better or for worse have to learn to fend for it self. America can no longer afford to be the world police and I don't see any replacement coming up. UN soliders can't shoot there weapons at the enemy if the enemy asked them too.
  11. In away yes Going off what my experience and others have been in work for and try to apply for any kind of finical assistance is they typically are only good at giving you the run around. The people who are designing it now are designing it in a fashion (or at least trying to) that will get them the most votes (not that the people opposing it are any better) with little to no care as to providing more people with health coverage. I imagine if you could some how find away to cut through all the political bull crap you might get a system that would work but as it is I have little faith in the US government to get it right P.S I have no health coverage for the time being. Hope I don't sick.
  12. Still I don't like the idea of getting in a car accident being taken to an emergency room and having the doctor say "Sorry you your not important enough to save, next." That said I don't think America can afford to give everyone medical coverage. So while I want everyone to have medical coverage I don't believe it to be logistically feasible and our current attempts to achieve this will just screw up the system even further.
  13. I also had a trouble for the past couple of days.

  15. Chances are someone somewhere in America makes/eats/buys/sells meat pies. That being said I don't personally know any. Yes I am a citizen of the US of A and no I'm not in the mood to go through another bash the stupid American session.
  16. I'll will endeavor to prove the quality of my posts.
  17. I remember somewhere typing that the warrens were heavily warded some of those wards can hide him but once he leaves the warrens he is a nice bright beacon of canister usage
  18. I wouldn't write out, but it should be difficult to do specially for an army. As far as personal energy. The overlord has an energy that can be sensed by anyone with an ounce of magical potential clear across terristra but no one ever commented on it
  19. I don't ever recall a geneforge invisibility spell. All fiction and real life attempts at invisibility are fairly difficult and typically are given away upon attack
  20. the only reference I have to go on is d&D 3.5. invisibilty is 4 level spell. Meaning you have to be at least level 3. Now the way I few th rating system is that most people are level 1 and only a few break level 5. level 5 is when you get sphere invisibility is spell that a level 5 wizard would cast. Geting an invisibility that could be cast that wouldn't fail upon attack is much higher (I forget how high please some look this up) Only the most powerful wizards could cast it and it last round per level so you have up to two minutes if cast by a level 20 wizard. This isn't a perfect comparison but the best one I could come up with.
  21. Invisibilty takes a lot of focus and energy. It takes a lot of energy to maintain and wouldn't be able to maintain if for long. Also you would have difficulty maintaining focus needed to maintain the spell so nearly impossible to maintain while attacking. Essentially I think it would allow you to get the first blow. The more powerful members of your forces might be able to maintain it for a second or third blow. It would be impossible to maintain while casting other spells of any significant power.
  22. I have updated my wiki for my faction specifically my creations. I have couple of ideas among them that I like some feed back on (not sure if their overpowered or not).
  23. My personal favorite is the Age of fire Series by I forget The first one is Dragon Champion
