There is a difference. At the end of the day, Nethergate, and N:R use the same engine. There are significant changes to the engine, but it is still the same engine. The maps didn't have to be remade from scratch.

Geneforge 5 came out two years before Apple made the iPad. The first game released for the iPad was Avadon. A:EftP came out after Avadon, so it also got an iPad version. Jeff recently ported Avernum 6 to the iPad. Thus far, these three games are the only games with iPad versions.

fun fact: oscar wilde invented text-talk a century before texting was invented
But, that means I should hate Oscar Wilde, and I could never do that!
  4. By the way, if anyone is interested in playing N:R with the original Nethergate creature graphics (yellow goblins, gray wolves, etc), I made mod called the Nethergate Graphics Rewind back when N:R first came out. This mod will work with the Steam version. The game data files can be found in steamapps\common\nethergate_resurrection inside the Steam data folder (usually C:\Program Files\Steam or C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam).

Based on registration dates, it appears the UBB switch went active on September 18, 2001.

Aircraft, yes; train, no. I have traveled on Amtrak trains many times and have never needed to show photo ID.

Actually, GoG does have some newer games.

Yes, the early versions of E1 and E2 had midi background music. You can find the music, along with the intro music to every game on my site.

Actually, N:R came out after A4. The music heard in the menu of N:R was in A4 first. The original Nethergate had no in-menu music.

That way you could find ones who did the best in each of those fields and make a bigger scenario in a shorter amount of time.

Another idea would be a scenario where you could assign a range of towns to each person for them to build.

    Any thoughts on this?
I don't think there have been any true collaborations for BoA, other than designers helping other designers with scripting, etc. There were some collaborations for BoE though. All scenarios written by The Creator were collaborative efforts between two brothers who used the same account.

Your heroes are nowhere to be found in Avernum 2 because they escaped to the surface.

That's confirmed? I thought the only confirmed accomplishment of the first heroes was assassination of the emperor.
They also defeated Grah-Hoth and found the exit to the surface.

Yes, I do recall what Larry Niven had to say about mistaking a character's opinion for the author's, but even so...

Apparently men become murderous psychopaths if they don't get enough sexual attention? Geez.

The Felurian storyline was a bit much too.
