  1. Sorry, I don't have the answer, but I'd like to say that there is this "edit" button above every post. In this way, you can edit your post. Please use that button, and do not make an endless amount of topics, which have minor differences in your English.
  2. Can you delete an other town then the last one you made? I have chosen to have warriors grove, but I want it out. Can delete the hole town and make an ther town 0, or do I have to delete the town entrance and make a town 12 (That would probably be far more simple to do, wouldn't it)?
  3. Its an advantage if you hit something, but I mostly don't hit anything. I don't want to only hit things with all the things you mentioned in the previous post (fury crossbow, max archery and the like).
  4. the archery is really no good. My nephil whom I ALWAYS give the bow and arrows, also in Avernum, just hits FAR MORE in avernum in comparison to exile.
  5. i have been some time in that closed off room. If I remember it well enough, there is a very nasty creature in there, a demon or so. I immediatly reloaded my game when I saw it. I this bandit fort is your first quest in Avernum 1, go away and return with a much stronger party.
  6. I'm really glad to see you had sent the email. i thought you hadn't sent it. Although I hadn't download it as yet, i will probably do it later. Thanks for sugesting it. i will try it.
  7. O. That's also a pity. Well, doesn't matter. Again, thanks for the support. (Did you delete all the graphics. I know, I'm very suspicious).
  8. that hapens all the time, doesn't it? When you slay some monster, a blood stain appears on the ground.
  9. Talking about Nethergate and Latin, I loooove Latin! Greek I actually just find annoying with that other alfabet. I some games could be in Dutch though, that would be nice, I think. Of course much of you wouldn't understand what the people say, would you.
  10. So characters can only sit on one sort of chair. That's a pity. The former problem with that the graphics were invisible (you probably read it yourself already), wasn't such a big problem. In Appleworks I moved the graphics to the upper-left corner of the document. Then I converted them to the bmp format. This same problem I had on my macintosh, so I new how to solve it. I'm very curious to see what you did though. I haven't got the email yet, so I will have to wait. Pity.
  11. Now this graphics crisis is over, can someone explain how to make chairs, were people actually sit on if they have a graphic which alows them to do that?
  12. I solved it already myself: simply drag the graphics to the upper left corner of the document. Thanks really much for the advices and esting of the graphics. I learned again a bit more about custom graphics.
  13. Thanks very much. I knew it would be some stupid mistake. So know the game recognizes them. But they still don't show up. This problem I also had om ny Mac. There is to much "white" alnog the borderlines of the graphic. The only think I want to know now, is which program I can use to cut the white from the rest of the picture. Paint doesn't work, and I don't wan to mess around with it. Can windows viewer be of any help?
  14. Honestly, I don't really deal with terrain, but my quess is, that characters can only sit on chairs, but I'd rather rely on someone like Thuryl or Kelandon on this sort of topic.
  15. Send a reply when you got them! (By the way, the files all together, are rather big. So if you haven't got a ISDN or DSL connection, prepare for a long waiting!)
  16. So we probably have a small problem here. I used Appleworks to make the graphics. If I send you the Appleworks document, you wouldn't be able to open it. So before I send anything, I maybe should ask what to send. I have converted the four graphics that I made into bmp format. So should I send you that? (Do I also have to send you my scenario?)
  17. ONLY if you promise me NOT TO STEAL them, I maybe will send them. Do you haev a Mac and PC?
  18. The spell department indeed was totally different in Avernum. One great disadvantage, I would say. Probably done so because of the need to make all these graphics for the spells when they are used.
  19. OK. That is one thing understood. Now I DON'T want to play the scenario as yet, but I'm still in the designing fase of the process. Maybe I shouldn't bother with the graphics, but do that at the end of the process. I'll simply work on the Mac when I need the custom graphics to show up. I will stay curious about the cause of the problem.
  20. So now I have the following structure of folders: -> BoA editor folder main BoA directorie -> Data -> BoA scenario's folder ->My scanario, containing the pictures. This is the structure it should be according to ef. Did I got this straight? If yes, the editor still doesn't recognize the graphics. If not, How should it be? the way these things are handeled is totally different on my Mac. there they go in the data folder.
  21. If you do intend to play Exile, prepare yourself for a game-play, so totaly diferent, that you will probably get annoyed in the beginning. Just try it and see for yourself. There are minor differences. For exapmle, in Exile 2, there is west of fort Draco, north of that big ruined Nephilim fort, a remote temple, with alot of loot. It isn't there in Avernum 2.
  22. Well, i don't know when you sent the message, Kelandon, but what I do know, is that I checked six times if it was there, I opened and reopened it a few times, and still nothing changed. I also copied the files a second time into the scenario folder, thinking that maybe the files were corupted, but that also didn't help.
  23. I'm exactly doing what the others do. The graphics have the same number as in resource ID they once had. I have put them in the scenario folder, that sits in the BoA data folder. The program itself sits in the BoA data folder, were it belongs. The names of the graphics are G(number).bmp. The exact eror description: "BoA was unable to find or load graphic 503." After this an other error comes up: BoA editor just failed to load this graphic: sheet 503, icon 3. The editor might have run out of memory, but, more likely, the grphic wasn't there" (or something like that). maybe this will help more then the other descriptions I gave. If nothing helps, I mail everyhting to ef.
  24. So I thought I new how to do it. I made bmp files, named them G... (and on the spots 3 numbers like 500, 501, 502 and 503) But I still get an error it couldn't find the graphics. I put them in the main folder of my scenario, error. I put them in the data folder, error. I really don't understand anymore what to do! Help!
  25. OK, I did that, they are on the PC. Now, how do I get them in the cmg file of the scenario? The game wouldn't recognice just some lose files, would it. This question is just to bug you Kelandon, but, if you come from America, shouldn't you be in bed now? (what a irritating question this is!) I'm living in The Netherlands, so its about 10 am. EDIT: I have loked at other scenario's and understand what you mean. Thanks for the advice. (By the way, you don't have to answer that question above!)
