I'm willing to bet your front pocket experienced a lot more catastrophic failure than the laptop.
  8. Heh. We stopped calling our fishing trips ... fishing trips, and instead called them kitten slaughter fests. It didn't work, so we went back to ignoring PETA.
  9. The ninja star dorito won. The Tebow anti-abortion one lost. Huge. And the game was awesome. Not much of a fan of NO, and not a fan of the Colts, but the Saints played a much better game. And, it gave me pleasure to see Peyton not make one of his 4th quarter comebacks. Now, if only teams can continue to exploit his weaknesses during the next season...
  10. The structure of resolutions started on New Years Day can really help some people, and if they are making positive changes in their lives, why not let 'em? It might not work for you, but does that make it a universal truth that they are a false pretense?
  11. Dude. You're married. Everything you need to know will be told to you by your wife. Now, get with the program!
  12. Can't imagine why you would want to go anywhere. Canadia's pretty perfect, especially Ontario. Driving license I understand, it will let you head up to Deep River, and then further to the Algoma area. My <3 belongs to Algoma.

Unfortunately, that means Lilith will remain depressed, lonely, and adrift. So, not really a solution for Lilith.
  15. His parents, specifically his father, and also his sister, are fanatic religious normalists, and would react negatively erratically, to the point that they might start screaming bible quotes, if Lilith were to explain to them his reality.
  16. Jumping from therapist to therapist is a good avoidance technique too. Just sayin'. <3

Studying their actions, which we believe are a true indication of internal processes, unless we want to rationalize that individuals are all acting falsely. Of course there could be other explanations, I'm not a narcissist, but I think (obviously) that the one I provide is the most likely explanation. Yup, just observation of human history. Heck, isn't this /section/ of the thread some kind of indication that humans are interested in promoting their interests above those of their fellows? I certainly don't see you admitting that you could be wrong, which would be a way of keeping the peace.
  18. It's a west coast thing. When I lived in New England we never really said "dude" at all. Over here though, it is gender neutral.
  19. Spring salmon is superb cooked over an open fire on the beach, immediately after being caught. Fall salmon, once it enters the river, starts losing fat reserves, and does benefit from seasonings, but ocean caught salmon is my favorite for smoking, grilling, or canning. Atlantic salmon, or farmed, is what I suspect you reference, and either would be better baked. Poached, of course, refers not to the cooking method.
  20. If they say otherwise, they're seal lyin'.
