Didn't it start in G2?

This poll is about forging. I personally liked the G3, G4 way of forging better than the G1, G2 way. I like the anvil, it was a good idea to add it as it adds a whole new dimension to the game. I liked the items of G3 the best, specifically the artifacts. In G4 I miss the Emerald Chestguard a lot.

Thyey probably came from the Northwest or something. They most likely came from the north since they came from a cold and icy place. They also could have come from the south. A much less likely scenario is that the map isn't up=north, down=south etc.

Where does it say that the empire didn't eventually fail? If I remember correctly Monarch said something about failing earlier and starting again in the Fens.

There are only 2 real trakovites in the game, yes, but since he pretty much completely aggrees with them, he gets to count as one. Also, at the beginning the Trakos will only get rid of the worst of the shaping, which pretty much means the Rebels and the Shapers.

Let us look at the Trakovites we know. Drew lives his life on the line trying to stop shaping. He wouldn't put so much at risk unless he really believed in what he was doing. The Drayk wouldn't be able to shape, and therefore wouldn't be part of the conspiracy. Khryk could have easily joined the Rebels and become very powerful. He chose not to, although they would love to have him because of his power. Doesn't look like much of a backstabbing group does it.

30-40 sounds fair to me. 70-90 is way too much though.

Don't make them weaker if they count as party members. That would make them too weak.

Sorry, I hadn't realized it was dead. I just saw it as the second topic here and figured it was a new one. I don't check this forum very often, and figured that this was a fairly new conversation.

I always say the battle line as: Battle Alphas/Glaahks/Clawbugs/Thads Soldiers Roamers/Vlish/Artilas/Fyoras Guardians Shapers/Agents In G2 the Guardians shot you down with batons with their meatshields waiting in front. I always thought that that was the way they fought.

I agree, Jeff is most definitely a Trako. So am I actually, although in this poll I had to side with the Shapers.

The Warrior is far to weak. It has no strengths, and many weaknesses. Another class always manages to outmatch it.

As a Servile mage I always hit with Essence Shackles, it's not that hard.

This is a great example of one of the things I love about these games. If you are having trouble Jeff will help you and try to fix the problem.

Oh, sorry. I thought you were talking about the war-bred servile that will join you in Geneforge 2.

If I remember correctly Heusstes requires a pro-rebel reputation, and that you aren't a taker.

Then it is probably beneficial to absorb creations.

No, the canister doesn't upgrade them. Keeping creations through the game can be beneficial, but absorbing them can be too. It depends on what you want to do, and which class you are.

When he walks to the supply room he goes to a corner. You need to walk into the room at the right time, and while he is in the corner. You will most likely have to try multiple times. You beat me be to it Dikiyoba.

In the area with the battle alphas and drayk, the person inside the building will train you in spellcraft.

I'm with the Trakovites. No self-shaping and creation's rights are the way I go.

That makes me feel kind of sorry for them......

Also, you may find it annoying to not be able to create a wingbolt or something in the earlier Geneforge installments when you have started with Geneforge 4.
