It's cause Jeff can't compete with all the other big gaming RPG companies out there. He lives off our checks. Kinda funny actually. Well now he's got a book...

I havent played exile in awhile. If I can remember, though, what good items are there to store anyways?

A question about clawbugs
Controversial replied to The1Kobra's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
It says free web hosting. Probably sucks cause it's "free". -

You'd have to suck really bad for that to happen. Don't try and overthink yourself.

It doesn't even show for me. Just has that red X in a white box. -
It's just meat, you can buy unlimited amounts of it. But I guess you'd like eating meat you shaped?

What about the room you start in?

The sound files were different as well, which I don't think you can replace.

They don't.

I don't believe so. Maybe intelligence does, but strength doesn't. Fire attacks aren't physical, in case you never realized that.

there was no monster spawner in g2 on the startup screen. And it doesn't take long to do it. It was g1.

Realistically, you'd have to cheat to get three ur-drakons. But even if you didn't, you'd have to be a really high level. And, you'd waste all your essence. I'd say stick with several fyoras or roamers. They can dish out the damage and take several. Well, drakons can, only if they're close together, which is the disadvantage. -

Actually, that fits into my idea. Even though I doubt this will ever happen because Jeff's company is too small and it would take too much time, I'd like a realistic system added to this. Have you ever played Morrowind? That game I believe has revolutionized the gaming industry. -
Actual gameplay questions

I think it's more strategic trying not to use potions throughout the whole game. If you're good. -

I don't think so. Maybe if you accumulate enough clawbug canisters, it'll upgrade them. -
I think anytime there's a day count, it's there for a reason.

Becoming corrupt is one of the great things about the game!

Which class first time?

Yeah, the agent looks like a witch and the guardian...well, I don't know why the hell Spiderweb made the helmet that way. -
Is GF3 worth for the waiting after you play it?
Controversial replied to Mr.knowitall's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
I think the original was better than the second one. A reason for this might be because everyone has expectations for the sequel. -

I personally think I'm going to play some Blades scenarios for a while until I get bored with that, and then I'll probably play GF3, but then, I was always more of an Avernum fan than a Geneforge fan anyway. Maybe it's because you can play avernum so much longer. I have good memories of playing avernum. Well, I guess I could say the same for geneforge but it sucks now, and even though I haven't played any spiderweb games for months, I would choose avernum over geneforge. As I said in another post, probably cause it has monsters that respawn. Plus you can have more than 1 PC. -

If I ever play G3 it will be with a shaper. The only reason is because all of the other games I've played involve melee and magic. Shapers are strongest with their base trait being creation. No Game I ever played you can *create* your own little devil-horde of monsters. That's about the only cool thing I still see in Geneforge, although when it first came out, I thought it was extremely fun. I've only played guardian and agent a couple times. I think they're boring. -
Another Pathetic & Premature Geneforge 3 Topic
Controversial replied to Icshi's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
I think what would make geneforge funner is if certain monsters respawned. I personally think Geneforge sucks for that reason, including several others. Its got a nice plot, just gets dull after a couple years, you know? I doubt Jeff will ever have the creatures respawn if he makes a blades of geneforge. Knowing his dull and uncreative gaming sequel mind, BOG is coming. -
