Scribbane herb is like grass. Use it wisely, and after at least 10 days between each use, and not too much altogether (maybe twice each game), and it'll be ok. Use too much and you shall become an addict.

well, you can always buy a house in lorelei and keep your stuffs in one of the rooms(that way, they are kept at a place you remember them to be in).

well, i have seen this topic before i think... still, i hope in A4 i will finally get to know what the room behind the dragons hold. new spells and weapons will be welcome, and new demons too... that are harder to slay. new faces of the characters, and i would really like to see the sample name Aldous, Mycroft and Cordelia changed... reminds me of Aldous Huxley, Mycroft Holmes and Cordelia Lear,,LOL what i do NOT want to change is the size and the engine... anything over A3 and my compu hangs like a strangled chicken in the middle of combat. PLEEEAAASEEE MR. Vogel, Have Mercy on me and dont bring in those stupid new graphics & stuff. just let those Tinny tots trot around the surface... Oh, and 1 last request... cant we get more members??? i mean 4 is perhaps a challenge for me.5 or 6 might just solve my problem...

rakshasa in the wiki seems to me very generalised... if seen the proper way, rakshas existed simultaneously with Gods and had the same amount, if not more than the lesser Gods in Hinduism. many rakshasas were avid God-devoted creatures... Ravana being one of them. They gained power by sheer will and long, really long hours of devout praying to the Trinity of Hindu Gods... i.e. Shiva, Bramha, and Vishnu. Though Vishnu rarely granted any boon to any rakshasa, the other two did give rewards that made rakshasas powerful. however, power can corrupt, and the rakshasas soon became powerful enough to destroy heaven(Indraprastha). however, in the end the interference of Shakti (power) in the form of Goddesses helped to bring the rakshasas to heel. Later the idea of rakshasas were corrupted to give the sense of evil. Yet,still in Hindu astrology, people belonging to Rakshasa 'gana'(race) are considered noble, powerful and strong, despite their lack of focus in life oftentimes. Well, there's something about rakshasas... P.S. The wicki hails bivishana(thats the spelling for Ravana's brother) as a good-hearted rakshasa... well, in truth, he betrayed his brother to save his hide. as a result, if someone betrays us, we tend to say 'gharshatru bivishana'(traitor-of-the-kin bivishana)

erika seems genuine enough in A3, yet sometimes I wonder whether she DID encourage the vahnatai... I mean, rentar could have died in the end in erika's hand... yet she does not. Erika sometimes charges on the adventurers without provocation(in the endgame and though she gets killed, even that is an illusion, i think. (sorry kelandon, if you feel this note is unneccesary but i had to say this coz i cannot help suspecting erika)

personally, i think the question is pretty stupid... coz though we may think we like other races, actually we all prefer humans... (until and unless you are an alien!!)

if u r really desperate for the drug, then go to the secret pathway to blackcrag and open all the rooms. look inside all the boxes and caskets, and voila!! skribbane!! you can also kill the drug dealers and infiltrators near lorelei (or was it someplace else ) and get it. cure addiction using charater editor if u are hooked, it really is an expensive habit.

sorry, the place is Bremerton. hey, I found out that adding to that money makes it go down to 15000. If I buy experience from zang, however, the value remains the same. the glitch however can also happen with the black halbeard. I eventually made up 6 more levels (thanx to zang)and also kitted all my teammates in Pachtar's plate mail

while playing A3 i sold pachtar's plate mail to a guy in remerton. after returning to sell him some more stuffs, i found out that pachtar's plate mail was on sale with no price tags. when i clicked on it once, my cash balance went to -34047 ish. but, clicking it twice gave me a cash balance of 30000+ I wisely invested the money and got experience from Zang. well, people who wants to see this themselves should try it too. i AM not sure how this thing works, though.

while playing a3 for the umpteenth time( i seem to be doing this more than often now), i discovered that the seasons are named beautifully by the team. My favourite is remembrance. Is that autumn? conngrats to the team for thinking the names up.

to me the most obnoxious dungeon was the one that i encountered in the quest for black halbeard...remote cave i guess. the teleporter really got on my nerves, I had some sleepless nights over it

a lot of names in Avernum trilogy has been taken from different religion... hindu, norse, greek, roman, old english. It enriches the game, makes it more universal i guess.

I downloaded exile 3 demo after I played avernum, and to tell the truth, I did not like it. I prefer Avernum --- all its parts, just the way it is. Please Jeff, do not change the pattern in A4...(there is another reason too... my system cant handle stuffs heavier than A3, so...). And also, I like to play games with simple, clean graphics, & a lot of rpg puzzles to solve, so I guess my choice matches avernum series perfectly
